It could work that way, but if Maravilla were to lose to Cotto, even at a catchweight - it would make the Maravilla vs GGG fight almost (though not quite) a pointless exercise.

If Maravilla can't beat Cotto he's so shot it would be a cruelty putting him in the ring with Golovkin - tho I guess in some weird way it could represent a passing of the mantle.

Sergio has said he wants and looks forward the fight, just wants another first. Obviously in reality, this will hinge on his health having recovered he isnt about to fight someone so heavy handed if his knee is still shot.

Look for him to face GGG if he starches Cotto and is back near 100%. Sergio Martinez is not Felix Sturm. If he says he wants the fight, and his manager says they will do the fight, given his fight history there is absolutely no reason to think that he wont do the fight.

Sergios injuries were legit. Just because he got injured does not mean everyone should start treating him like a Sturm.

agree but if the fight with Cotto is very close and Cotto gets the decision or Martinez gets robbed, then it wouldn't be such a big 'drama' if Martinez vs 3G fights happens.

    :yep

Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of Martinez too and the ideal scenario for me would be:

Martinez fights Cotto and Canelo, beats them & makes good money then his last third fight is with 3G.

Meanwhile 3G is getting Rubio and another decent MW like Geale or Murray, beats them, then he fights Martinez.

    :good

yeah I know Sergio is a real fighter but when you're old, had some severe injuries. you think more and more about big payday fights with less punishment before you retire which is perfectly normal and understandable if u ask me.

    GG isn;t getting any younger.

He should find some nuts and challenge himself at 168 instead of claiming nobody wants to fight him.

He's turning into the new Margarito:lol:..exept with fewer fights and worse comp.

What challenge at 168? At 168 there is Ward, nothing else of real importance nor any other real paydays. Ward is in another promotional dispute so hes off the table for foreseeable future even if both want the fight right now.

Also, talking age is just silly when Sergio wasnt even MW champ until he was 35.

    Which, the 160 or 168?

    160 - yes

168 - not really. they have said they would for the right money, and plan to move up eventually but havent been actively seeking opponents there to the best of my knowledge.

I wouldnt expect him to jump to SMW, he has big fights and options at MW. Do you know who at MW his team made enquiries to and what fell through ie money, location etc?

    marine,

Stevens should have to drag that coffin around new york with G's name scratched out and his own on it. and judah wearing paulie's latest trunks could walk beside him so less chance of their getting mugged.

Most of the "mr Pibb folks" on this forum has been butthurt after that.

Some of them actually started threads about shitting on Golovkin soon after POS was exposed. Not only Golovkin but seems like every fellow European are getting their fair share of the rampage
especially if their stocks at current moment are high on boxing scene.:)

I find that hilarious and very strange.:think

:yep I noticed that. They thought the 'A

    B

' will be the next Floyd but their hope got shattered in little pieces by Maidana. After Floyd will retire, they will remain with Ward, whos a very skilled black-american fighter but he can't even sell cold water in the desert of Sahara or Nevada in his case. :yep:deal
