You can add Curtis Cokes in the Light Welters. That's the division I'd pick.

Chavez, Napoles, McLarnin, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Ross ect. it's actually quite a deep division.

I recall before George you said you weren't a fan of the featherweight division historically. Would you have light welterweight above it?

No, FW has grown on me since then, since I've made my top 20s for the original 8 weights, I've discovered just how stacked they are in comparison to the newer weights.

So whilst I'd say FW is the worst of the original 8, or 2nd after HW, it's still leagues above any of the ******* divisions.

I would say 140 as well. 154 looks good too.

I think Light-Welter and Super-Feather, or 140 and 130 if you prefer, are the two standouts by a mile. With most of the other tweener divisions, if you wanted to put together a top ten I think they'd all start looking pretty thin on quality (in relative terms) once you get past four or five. But with Light-Welter and Super-Feather I think you could put together a pretty strong ten without having to scrape the barrel.

If I had to pick one of them...Probably Light-Welter. I think looking at the best names at Super-Feather, a lot of them were arguably just as good, sometimes even better, in other weight classes (Chavez, Nelson, Saddler), or had a greater number of their defining wins elsewhere (Mayweather). On the other hand, guys like Pryor, Cervantes, Locche etc., who would feature in everyone's list, all made their names essentially exclusively at 140 and are amongst the absolute elite of the division. You couldn't really say that about any of the elite 130 pounders until you get down the list to someone like Elorde, maybe.

So yeah, 140 for me. Brilliant division.

140 you’ve got Tszyu, Pryor, Locche, Cervantes, Perkins, Loi who won their only titles and you had some greats also pass through like Ross and Benitez and it’s shere Chavez did most of his title defenses. Crawford in recent years was fantastic too and I think whoever wins Taylor-Ramirez will have to be held in high esteem too.

140 has produced the most talent.

But 122 has produced the most guts and glory.

Some of the fantasies at 122 are truly mouthwatering. I'd love to see Fenech vs Morales or Barrera vs Pintor.
