The Power Puncher (Earnie Shavers,Foreman etc) The Technician (Hopkins etc) or The speedster (Roy Jones Jr etc)
Out of these 3? The Technician but no boxer is really just one of the above and beeing a puncher isn't bad, power is one of the last things to go
It depends on a lot of factors : wear and tear, lifestyle, discipline, and maybe genetics to some degree. Martinez is a speedster who peaked in his late 30s, Oscar is a technician who was done at 35, Floyd a technician who's still P4P king at 35, right below him is Pac who is a 33 yr old speedster. It's not just the style, it's the individual.
I agree with this. Staying in shape is the key to longevity. Not all people are wired the same though so there is not set formula on how a fighter ages.
1. The Technician: Self presevration 2. The Power Puncher: They say power is the last thing to go. 3. The speedster: At their best they probbly beat the The Technician & The Power Puncher, but speed goes first.
the the technician ages the best, If they are not too reliant on their speed. NExt are power punchers, cause they never lose the punch (e.g. foreman); last are the speed fighters as once the speed is gone they have nothing (e.g. Sugar Ray Leonard)
Hey you stupid **** you idiot! Foreman is a heavyweight and B-Hop is a 160-175lb guy. Obviously if size is the same and pound for pound, a master defense and technician like B-Hop can't be KTFO.
