What type of fight with Joshua vs Parker be? I think it will at least be good. Parker is in his prime and undefeated, correctly ranked #3 by Ring Magazine, which could mean this is for the Ring Magazine title if they drop Fury out as champion. Parker is better than just about everyone Joshua faced except for Wlad. I don't see an early ending here, and I give Parker a chance to upset. Can't wait to see it.
Whatever happens if it reaches the later rounds AJ will ahead he has less flaws, Parker needs to work the body constantly, Whyte landed some good body shots on AJ but was countered everytime, AJ is a great counter puncher I feel that could be the difference.
Joshua by decision. He is going to be lighter and more stamina this time. Parker is going be on backfoot, but Joshua does more damage.
Whatever the result, Joshua isn't going to be a belt milker like Wilder, fighting no top ten guys several times in a row for title defenses.
I think it will be an average fight. I dont see Parker swarming Joshua, and thats about the only way he can land his shots. They are both good fighters, but not great fighters. Wlad was a far better fighter than anyone Parker has fought. People say Wlad was old.....but he fought a great strategic game and the kind of fight that Joshua had answers for. IF Parker can move around on his toes a little more and use his speed and fast jab then he has a chance of causing an upset, but when has he ever had to do that? I think he may be good enough to take AJ the distance, but thats his jaw proving itself to be what they say it is, and not his skills in action. Both these guys gas out so saying Parker has the advantage in this respect is silly.
It will be similar to the Takam and Whyte fights, an all-out war. The fights Joshua struggled with are Wlad, Takam and Whyte so far. I mean, don't get me wrong, he dominated takam. But he took too much punishment. That may be down to preparing for pulev not takam though. I think the whyte fights helped him beat takam, and I think the takam and whyte experiences will help him beat parker. Parker has more punching power than those guys though, so it's good that Joshua has been working on improving his boxing skills with Rob McCracken recently. I think we will see Joshua sit back in the first 2 or 3 rounds, and let parker use up some energy. In that time, Joshua will use it to work out Parker. Then after those 2 or 3 rounds it'll be a war, one which joshua will dominate.
Short nights work for AJ.Parker is too easy to hit and isn't quick or hard hitting enough to cause big problems.Parker is a average fighter in all departments. Not sold on AJ yet but this shouldn't be a problem
Parker is a bit better than average. He's a top ten guy. Maybe overrated a bit in rank due to the changing of the guard process, but he's a solid title opponent.
I dunno, I expect a slobber knocker but will try to be academic and analytical if I'm given a snoozer. Either way, even if they just stare at each other, it's exciting to get one step close to one champion. So even if it is a snoozer I'll be hyped until a few days after it's over, probably.
I think it will be a decent fight. Parker will have his moments but at some point he'll realise that he's losing and he'll either look to survive and we see Joshua win a comfortable decision or he goes for broke and he goes out on his shield in a last ditched effort.
Parker will struggle to land much on him, Joshua will hit him with ease....is this a good fight? Only if Parker can withstand heavy shots and make it to mid rounds where everyone says at least he showed heart.......and so forth. Expect ppl to complain after this one and talk of a one sided fight though.if they didn't like the Takam fight, why like this one? They will complain anyway a short or long fight...lol I think it will be good as long as it lasts.
AJ wasn't in any boring fights so far. His early blowouts were spectacular, and his fights vs Whyte and Breaseale were good. His epic fight vs Wlad was fight of the year, and Takam fight wasn't boring, I think it was interesting enough. Parker was in stinker vs Hugie Fury (not his fault) and his fight vs Cojanu wasn't epic but his other fights were decent at least. I can't see how it can be boring, but don't expect it to be fight of the year too. Good fight.
a bout where one guy has everything going his way.So you could say a very good bout, but only for 1 guy. for the other guy it'll be a bad performance. It won't be a back and forth fight, but a bout where 1 guy plays 80% offense and the other guy---the loser--is 80% defense.
All I hope is its a good fight, fairly officiated, & the better man on the night gets his hand raised
