Based on Parker's fights with Takam and Ruiz in particular (and to a lesser extent Cojanu and Fury, although Joshua won't fight the way they did) I am concerned that Parker will be too concerned about trying to "fight smart" leading to both defeat and an underwhelming fight.

So far he has been almost excessively cagey in his big fights, I don't think that will work against AJ.

Yeah parker can't sit off him with the reach. They end up taking too much punishment...without returning anything substantial on the outside anyway. Joshua good at countering the first shot as well...parker needs to put his punches together. Takam tried to box on the outside mostly tried to box joshua throwing singles only doubling when he was in close. Took too much damage. Against klitchko Joshua done well but he actually fought to klitchko,s game plan for too long. Tried to box with Klitschko...when the penny dropped he was making it harder than it had to be he knocked klitchko down almost immediately then he got caught heavy and it changed the fight. He ended up a bit fortunate the stamina came back and Klitschko was a little bit too cagey. If you sit off Joshua he,ll beat you unless you,ve got the length advantage. He could have beat klitchko easier than he did. Again Klitschko's was mostly throwing singles. He was intellegent with it...but joshua figured it out in the fifth he had to stop boxing and close the gap. He just got caught in the exchange. As soon as he made it a fight stepped into Klitschko's range he had wlad ready to go tho. Your struggling with single shots against him as he's pretty explosive bouncing back from them.

Whyte showed the blueprint to beat him. Your gonna have to be able to take a few. But you need to go in throwing two,s and threes enough to put him slightly on the back foot to make him reset. Go in with singles he beats you cause you don't put him on the back foot he's very good at stepping in countering that one shot. Outwith that he gets you eventually with his length on the outside. He doesn't like the two,s and threes. Puts him on the back foot slightly. His natural aggresson leads him to come back at you. Get in with twos and threes then get out quickly. He,ll still throw...and miss if you get out quickly enough with putting him on the back foot that brief second. Then we,ll see where his staminas at before long.

Parker struggled with Hughie because he ran. Joshua will be right in front of him. Should be an interesting fight because either is capable of winning if things go their way.

It looked like a mismatch initially but then I remembered the Takam fight.
