What's the point in fighting if you are limited to fighting shot fighters? Besides, the division doesn't need this, it needs fresh new talent, not old flames being stepped on by unheralded journeymen.

i wouldn't pay to see him. i'm not blinded by anything but i think you're blinded if you think that just anybody's gonna put him on his ass. that's a joke.

what boxing needs is to be on shows like sportscenter. not in the newspaper. and two beyond-faded fighters aren't going to make that happen.

I don't think average guy would boycott it! In Europe there is up and coming talent - povetkin! But in America there isn't so thats why Tyson is still big draw and so is Holyfield!

I see what your saying, your right to an extent, I just want to see the Heavyweight divsion at the center of attention for one night, something it hasnt been since Tyson fought Lewis' in June of 02. I agree when you said about the average fan coming out thinking its for the championship like it was 11 years ago, most people I know thought Lewis' was still champ, until I had to explain to them who all holds the belts now.:rofl

It just seems the title holders we have now no one could identify with, or better yet understand what there trying to say since there from another country. I think thats why most of my friends and people in the bars watch either the big names in boxing like Mayweather, Oscar, Pac, Hopkins or worse the UFC, it seems thats where the excitement is for the under 30 crowd now adays.:-(

Tysons point is money! And my point is that it would make some buzz! And I don't think there is any talant in america so old fighters keep fighting ot like Hopkins!

Wrong, boxing is enjoying a rejuvenation without these two ancient leaches asking the public to shell out to watch their deluded dreams & antics play out again.

Thanks for the memories guys but please go train or commentate because you are fast becoming boxings shame.

ok not anybody....but respectable heavyweights who have the hunger desire the skills the ability to through a punch can land himn on his arse , when was the last time tyson went the distance in a fight? oh in the last time he won was against clifford somebody in 2003 u cant seriously belive he has a chance against the heavy weights of 2008 can u?

n to evreyone else if Holyfield fight is made then 2007 should never of happend n this fight would only bring boxing back down to the joke that it was!

Thats exactly what I think. Yes, I'm a Tyson "nut hugger" but money is money, and thats what makes thinks move foward in this world. If you put the right amount of cash in front of Mike or Evander, I bet they'll go toe to toe again. And I actually think that this would be the match that could bring in more boxing fans. They'll see this and go wow, this is awesome, I want more!

Tyson is what got me into boxing. After the McBride fight, I was so pisses off that he did what he did and bought his career on DVDs to watch his golden days. And watching them makes me want Tyson to come back, and If he does come back he has to make sure he's serious and isin't going to **** around....

Just cuz it makes a buzz doesn't make it good for boxing or Tyson. I am sure cocaine and marijuana give Tyson a pretty good buzz too, but they clearly haven't been good for him thusfar::smoke=:bbb= :!: . Oh, and Hopkins is still fighting at 43 cuz he is a champion and still winning. Tyson at 40 doesn't equal Hopkins at 43.
