I think vitali/briggs was a far worst beating then holmes/cobb..................vitali hits harder than holmes........that ref should never ref again.....the fight should have been stopped in between rd 9 going into rd 10..........
I only saw highlights of Holmes-Cobb, but even so it was a much worse beating than Briggs took. Don't get me wrong, Briggs took one hell of a beating, but that Holmes-Cobb fight was hard to watch.
See both....to me Briggs was more, for the fact that Briggs was hurt more in the fight. Cobb was a human, walking punching bag, but never seem hurt as the fight went on. Still loved how old Howard was pissed to all hell in that fight.
Neither was as brtal as some other bouts. Holmes dominated more, hit Cob more, but Holmes did not have Vitali's power. Vitali did not go all out for KO, to me it was a sparring session beating. If Vitali went all out, Briggs would have been ko'd. I think Brigs was more up for this fight than he was in past bouts. He just did not have the ability to win title, same old story with him.
