isn't that exactly what Lewis did?

not only is this thread full of ****, like you.

all of your responses have been infantile, it all makes sense

He was probably the most exciting boxer to ever lace them em up.

He used to lay people out cold, some knockdowns/knockout were almost cartoon like, they way his opponent would go flying across the ring.

Most people watch boxing to see brutal KO's and thats what he did.

As its been pointed out by many in this thread, if you need to ask what the fuss was, then you probably dont know much about the sport.

Exactly! People should just watch some of the modern heavyweight fights and then go and watch some prime Tyson fights and they will see what the fuss is/was about.

Yeah, you know you are right. Some deranged hood rat who beat up parking lot attendants, kicked elderly men in the testicles for minor traffic mishaps, raped black beauty contestants, defeated no one of any significance in his short, inglorious career is so much better than modern heavyweight champions like Wlad Klitschko. That us review. Wlad was the youngest superheavyweight Olympic gold medalist at the tender age of twenty. He now has surpassed Larry Holmes as the longest dominant heavyweight champion second only to the immortal Joe Louis. Ring Magazine a U.S. Based publication has had Wlad as a top 10 pound for pound champion regardless of weight division for over seven years now. Ring, now has him top three. Wlad has just recently agreed to fight Ring's number one challenger Pulev who many on this site peg to defeat Wlad. Wlad is a great technical boxer with two-fisted power who is disciplined and professional both inside and more importantly outside the squared circle. Tyson was a violent thug who gave thuggish fans something they could relate to. True boxing fans would never favor a street thug fighter like Tyson over a true boxing craftsman and gentleman like Mr. Klitschko.

Why did you quote my post? I never said Tyson was better than anyone, I agreed with a post that said Tyson was exciting and that is part of the reason there is/was so much fuss. Tyson being a thug is also part of the reason there is/was so much fuss, that only adds to his aura and makes him more interesting, less boring and results in more of a fuss being made. Wlad being so boring in comparison actually helps to explain why there is/was so much fuss about Tyson.

Tyson was born into that life. His persona is based on the hand he was dealt. Tyson had great fundamentals, he just had an unbalanced mentality. People talk about how much of a physical specimen he was, but compared to the heavyweights he was fighting he was at a physical disadvantage and had to adopt a style to fit this. It's an injustice when people try to write him off as a common street thug who only had aggression an power in the ring. He is a much more complex character than that. In the ring he was exciting and out of the ring he is very intriguing, evident by the fact that we are discussing him in this thread.

Tyson barely trained for douglas, his own team thought he only had to turn up to win.

They didnt even have an Enswell or anything to treat a cut. When Tyson got cut early on they were trying to treat it with either a latex glove or condom filled with cold water. Thats how lightly they took Buster, he was 40-1 to win- if odds were anything to go by Buster shouldnt even have been in the same ring!

He fought a great fight and Tyson was on the slide mentally and therefore physically

O.K. Fair enough. I'm an older guy and pretty old-school in my thinking. I find it depressing that Tyson's thuggish, often criminal behaviour added "to his aura" and makes him more interesting than Wlad. Maybe, I just needed to vent and took it out on your post which upon reflection is accurate.

A typical K-**** exposes himself to know absolutely nothing at all about boxing.

Tyson was once sopkesman for the NYC Police Dept. Before King got hold of him and runied his image , Tyson was a clean-cut , well disciplined , respecpful human.

You say Tyson only ever beat parking lot attenands so give me Wlads top 3 wins to compare with Tysons top 3 wins.

That, my friend, is an understatement.

Holmes probably jizzed his pants at the notion of a Foreman fight. I never thought a guy could duck the same guy twice - 20 years apart.

    LOL.

The Easton Assassin would have beaten the brakes off of Big George...
