I say Lacy, because at the time Lacy was supposed to be the next great fighter and Calzaghe shut him out. A close second and third would be Hopkins and Kessler.

I'd say Lacy, he probably was overhyped before he fought Calzaghe but I also think he was a better fighter before that schooling and before he ****ed his shoulder. Retrospectively it's easy to say he must have been **** before Calzaghe fought him but hardly anyone was saying that at the time, having seen him fight.

Lacy for me, hes not as good as other guys he beat but he was still undefeated IBF champ and the best super-mid in US. It was just the way he beat him IMO, dazzling skills and great stamina

Hopkins because it was the only time in 46 fights that he faced a Top line opponent.

He scarped through vs a 43 year old version of Hopkins with a low punch output.

Would have been interesting is Hopkins was 36 also, I think we all know what the outcome would have been

If we're basing this solely on performance, Lacy is the best choice. I personally thought he was overhyped and pretty much one dimensional, but he was still undefeated and had a lot of power in that left hand..Calzaghe looked pretty much flawless in that fight and that really was the one which put him on the map....If going by name on resume and how good they were at the time, it's Hopkins followed by Kessler....

#1; Lacy gets the #1 spot because he was suppose to demolish Joe.

#2; Kessler gets #2 because Joe really had to turn up the heat, but Kessler had serious issues with his right hand, and that takes some shine off Joe's win.

#3; Hopkins is the best fighter Joe faced, but Joe won UGLY, and he lost on my score card.
