corrales..he was #5 lb for lb and floyd was #7...mos def a great win for floyd and probably his finest
I go for Castillo II, purely because I think Floyd lost the first fight and think most people agreed, so there was big pressure on PBF, and he coped with it and won convincingly. At the stage they fought, Castillo was the best fighter Floyd fought, coz DLH was old and rustier than an old bike, and Hatton wasnt good at 147.
Diego, for the reasons that SDSFINEST stated. He absolutely took Corrales apart. It wasn't even close. Corrales was considered unbeatable by some going into that fight.
I know it wasnt such a great Victory b/c of the level of his opponent, but i would have to put Gatti as one of his best, ONLY b/c it put him on the map with mainstream boxing fans, thus paving the way for future big $$ fights. Anyone agree?
Makes sense. I wouldn't call it his greatest victory, but the way you described it as an important win(considering the fashion he did it in) makes sense.
Agreed. And even though he forced Hatton to fight heavy, I still really like that win because he closed the show which was unlike him in big fights. The Oscar win is not impressive for a variety of reasons, most notably he was on a track.
He stood and fought his ground, and won inside exchanges far more often in that bout than he did in Castillo II, that's for damn sure. Talk about a track meet. But what would I expect from LennoxGOOCH?
In case you haven't noticed, I no longer respond to you because we are on different levels. But continue to quote my threads though...
