Time to confess; who were them cannot miss British fighters that you picked as future Muhammad Ali's, but now could be bouncers down your local?

What were them brilliant picks for fights, that led to your house being repossessed because you were so sure, you stuck your mortgage on it?

As I started the thread, I guess I should begin the write of shame....

I saw right though brother George, and was vindicated when Collins lost his 100-0 record (or whatever it was padded up to be) to his first proper test against Gary Jacobs....

You see I was smart, because George had a little brother who was a hidden gem and future of British boxing....... Tony Collins.....

    Oh well!

As for fights: Well come 1996, Mike Tyson was out of prison and fighting and virtually every casual fan was saying he was back to old Iron Mike after McNeely and Mathis, But I was smart, I knew different.:yep

See styles make fights and Frank 'Bomber' Bruno gave prime Tyson a fight; and now had confidence after finally winning his world title. He was going to beat the older ring rusty Tyson and make me a pretty penny!:scaredas:

I have to admit I thought Lacy was gonna murder Calzaghe.

But ****, look at those pre-fight guns; Lacy looked a shoe-in:deal

Haha i love that ****. hindsight is a beautifull thing.
I lost all respect for that site after those predictions.
I think there fight predictors are plucked at random from the main forum on here.

I wonder if Lacy's airline will allow him to carry on all three belts (the IBF, IBO, and the WBO) as he returns home or if they will have to be checked?

    Bwahhahaha well done Amy.
Back to the dishes for you love.

On paper the daftest boxing bet I had was Dennis Andries to beat Thomas Hearns at 5/2, Hearns had been wobbled very badly by Juan Roldan and James Kinchen at 160 just prior to the fight and it was worth a punt at the odds.

One Brit I thought was going to be a world beater was Pat Clinton, beautiful boxer off the back foot but never really made it.

You think that was bad, I figured Chris Okoh, on the strength of the Wanyama win, was the next big Cruiserweight thing.

12 months before Hatton-Mayweather - Mayweather KO, hopefully Hatton can put in a good showing.
6 months - Mayweather UD, Hatton gives him one of his toughest tests.
2 months - Mayweather SD, Hatton loses controversially
Fight night - Hatton KO, he can't knock him out, look at how hard he hits them ****in pads.

I fall for the hype on 24/7 so easily

He had a beauitful style but to make it work at world level you've got to be extemely good at it.
