The length. There's a limit to how long a beard fighters are allowed.

 

I think Roach suspected Margarito was hiding plaster of paris in his goatee to strengthen his chin. I believe after the fight Roach asked the commision to investigate the goatee after Pacquiao failed to knock Margarito out.

 

I think it looks cool.

It was long and pointed.Their are rules on facial hair and it should have been trimmed before the fight.I seem to remember Danny Williams being told to trim his beard before fights and Danny carrying on because its a religion thing.Its something to do with when fighters are in the clinches,i guess it could cause cuts.

 

It does appear to come to a sharp point...could take an eye out with that thing haha.
