    Mercer + Tucker for me.
2 heavys that get some criticism but Mercer was at his best that night and Tucker had only ever lost once and that was to peak Tyson. Its true Tucker was older by then but was one of the most skilled heavys of his era and he was big.
2 good wins that showed Lennox was the man of his era. Throw in the destructions of men like Ruddock and Morrison and Lennox was for me ,not far off being the complete package.
Shame he didnt/couldnt fight Bowe and/or Tyson at around that timeframe, as it would've given his career the 'defining' fight that it lacked.

Rahman rematch for me. But he has lots of underrated wins... Mercer and Tua for example.

i was at the Ruddock fight supporting Lewis, But came away thinking Lewis still had something to prove. Ruddock was "Damaged Goods" after two brutal beatings from Mike Tyson (jaw & eye-socket broken) Ruddock never threw a single punch in the fight, he was shot` and the Lewis team knew it.

Tommy Morrison had been knocked out in one round by one Michael Bent and was HIV positive.

Andrew Golota took a panic attack in his dressing room only minutes before he was due to enter the ring. Doctors sedated Golota with an injection of lidocaine. The Lewis team was informed of what was happening. Lewis immediately jumped on Golota at the opening bell.

Michael Grant was exposed in his fight with Golota as very mediocre and not worthy of a title fight.

Ray Mercer lost a majority decsion to Lewis in 1996 Yet Mercer's previous three fights was a lopsided loss to Holyfield, a draw with novice Marion Wilson and a very controversial win over Jesse Ferguson.. it is difficult when assessing Lewis career to find a victory over anyone who was not exposed or on the slide.

David Tua would most likely be Lennox best career win. Although Tua weighed 20lbs more than he did against Ike Ibeabuchi.

My opinion is a Lewis headbut stopped Vitali Klitschko

You can wedge that Ruddock fight up there between Lewis-Rahman and Lewis-Golota. You might also figure that Tyson torture session in there too.

The cut appeared in the third round, a short Lewis right ran across Vitalis eye, instantly he started bleeding. Its bull**** coming with a claim that it was a headbutt. This has been discussed to many times here....

No, he actually got an illegal injection for a knee injury that nearly put him in cardiac arrest. This has been well documented and even went to court. How did you get it wrong?

I didn't know anyone who picked Tua to win that one.

I would say Ruddock and Rahman II.

Why don't you just say you don't like the ****ing guy and be done with it instead of making up bull**** facts about headbutts.

Ruddock was a surprise for me, I thought Razor would take it, and he got crushed, that was impressive. Mind you, I guess I was partially basing my opinion on Ruddock based on how he looked in a couple of losses, which is sometimes dangerous.
The knockout in Rahman II was devastating.
I liked the fortitude he showed against Vitali. I think he dug pretty deep there.

Yeah, that's a painfully obvious attempt at tearing apart a great fighter's resume. Lewis wasn't close to Holyfield in the headbutting department, although he did rule with an iron fist when collecting WBC titles in the courtroom...:yep

The correct answer here is Ruddock. What a devastating knockout that was! Ruddock in many parts was declared the uncrowned champ until he fought like a spastic fool on that fateful Halloween night.

Rahman II is right up there as well. I mean when Rahman tossed Lewis around like a ragdoll at the ESPN studios I thought for sure he was toast. But then a spectacular right hand connected and revenge was best served cold.

And then the Tyson demolition. :|

As Paul Newman said in BCATSK: "Don't sugarcoat it kid, tell it straight".

BTW - I agree with you.

It's got to be the second Rahman fight, Lewis had just lost by a devastating knockout and it was basically **** or bust for him. If he'd had lost that fight his career was basically over. He put on a boxing masterclass and ended the fight with one of the best knockouts the championship has ever seen.

Depends what best fight means. His best wars were vs Vitaly, Bruno and Mercer.

His best performances were vs Golota, Ruddock, and Morrison.
