What was Marco Antonio Barrera's GREATEST fight? Barrera went to war with everyone, and the ONLY fighter to go up against the top 4 biggest names in the featherweight division in the last 12 years: Pac, Morales, Hamed, and Junior Jones. But he also had great battles with other top elite fighters. He didn't win all the great battles, but he fought valiantly through each one of them. Which was his best? Which one showed him to be the apex of Mexican boxing? Which one represents the epitome of his career?

    1. Johnny Tapia
    2. Kennedy Mckinney
    3. Naseem Hamed
    4. Morales I
    5. Morales II
    6. Morales III
    7. Pacquiao I
    8. Junior Jones I
    9. Junior Jones II
    10. Juan Manuel Marquez

I'm sorry I couldn't fit his other great fights with Kevin Kelly, Paulie Ayala, Agapito Sanchez, Rocky Juarez, and Jesus Salud, but you are more than welcome to discuss about them.

...........Morales I, with a very close second being the McKinney fight, which for some reason is rarely spoken of. If you haven't seen it, make a point of it. Sensational stuff.

Ooops, in my original post I said that MAB was the only fighter to take on the top 4 names in the featherweights in the last 12 years: Pac, Erik Morales, Naseem Hamed, and Junior Jones.

I should have said top 5 boxers, and included Juan Manuel Marquez.

Morales 1 for me. It does'nt get any better than edging (for the majority of us) a fellow all time great, in a great fight. A lot of people thought he was done due to the jones losses. But that first morales fight not only redeemed him, but most likely defined his career as well. The hamed win comes close, but the first morales fight was quintissenstial barrera.

The Hamed fight... pure genious, instant HOF...

Of course the 1st Morales fight was a good one as well and the 3rd one as well... Morales was a heavy favorite after MAB's loss to Pac and he did a great job in his 3rd division...

naz. simply awesome. the fight also saw the COMPLETE transformation of the baby faced assassin from a face-first, left hooking wild swinger to a master boxer-puncher.
