What was Margerito's weight on fight night?

I almost don't want to know, but it was damn significant looking at the opening bell and then looking at the weigh in. He had to at least be 157 at the opening bell.

 

As if Cotto wasn't coming in way over 140 against smaller guys in his Jnr Welter days though? What goes around and all that.

 

He was 147 right on the limit so probably about 162. He bulked up so he could bully Cotto around the ring basically since he was never going to outspeed Cotto at any rate.
Cotto himself was probably at least 158-160. I think Cotto has put on more than that in the past but he wanted to keep his speed up to box Margo this time around.

 

Prob 154ish. Both were the same weight Im guessing, give or take a lb from both.

 

No way that was only 7 pounds. He was much, much more filled out.

He was over 165 easily, it's not the first time Margarito has entered the ring weighing close to that of a Light Heavyweight.

He looked huge compared to Cotto, id say about 160.

 

Everyone weighs more on fight night. Why is everyone suprised?

 

The lowest he's been in recent memory was against Williams at 157 where he weighed in under 146lbs. He weighed in at 146.5 and rehydrated to 160 against Cintron so it's logical to assume that since he weighed in right on 147 against Cotto that he would be around 162. These are based on HBO's figures.
Cotto himself never lets anyone weigh him on fight night which probably means he's at least 160lbs or more for most of his fights at 147.

 

Cotto looked like he weight near 160 himself and since Cotto refuses to let anyone weight him dureing fight night we will never know.

Margo probably weight close to 160 but to say Cotto didn't is total BS. Cotto is wide and stocky. Margo was just taller. They looked like they weight the same to me.

But since there was no weight prior to the fight we will never know. Pulling **** out of our ass is all this thread is.
