Minter is a good choice. I like the Sibson fight. I think Sibson was very good at the time and he just had nothing at all for Hagler. Great performance.

Hagler was much like Hopkins or Robinson: a long, long reign of unquestioned superiority. It wasn't an Ali v Frazier/Foreman/Norton kind of thing. I just remember at the time that he was as close to Superman as existed in boxing. He was seemingly indestructible.

I'm not insinuating anything about Hagler's standard of opposition with thie thread - which I think was good anyway, he beat everyone there was to beat including some class fighters. I was merely asking for opinions on his most impressive all-round displays (ps: Robinson didn't have a long, long reign of unquestioned superiority at middleweight, you must mean Monzon, as he had a Hagler/Hopkins style mw reign. Robinson didn't, but his resume is stellar in the same way that Ali's was, more so in fact)

I'd have to go with Minter or Antfuermo. Minter was the champ. Vito was the former champ that Marvin screwed the pooch with the first time.

Sibson was him at his absolute best IMO.
