I kinda got that idea also. Or he said he could not win. Wahtever it was he said it more than once and Lowe told him "don't say that".
I Tivo'd the fight and I was trying to hear what Kelly said right before Jack Lowe said "don't say that" but it was like he mumbled something but I couldn't make it out after 15 times listening to it!!!!!!!
The Pavlik "booze rumor" has legs and you know it. It's pretty obvious that Pavlik has a drinking problem and that it is affecting his boxing career. I'm not judging him and really could care less about what he does in his personal time but there is way too much here for it to bull**** as you suggest. There have been rumblings about this for many years and his behavior over the past couple of years hasn't done much to dispel that chatter. Regarding the fight and cuts, it's clear that Pavlik wanted out after round 9 and his ******* trainer wouldn't let him as he cared more about the outcome of the fight than he did about Pavlik. I actually felt bad for Pavlik and had a tough time watching the last couple of rounds. I personally don't want to see the rematch as it appears to me that Kelly has lost the mental fortitude required to fight at this level.
"I can't feel my legs, just like the Zuniga fight." ~ Kelly Pavlik (Paul Williams standing in the lobby taking a pic with someone and someone says...) Hey Paul, you know where Cintron is? He's training! The look on Paul's face was priceless...
your response is laughable.. u say u are not judging and u can care less then u follow that with more rumors...if pavlik having drinks with friends or a night out (which by the way he has not done in months) is being a booze rumor than we all have that problem..the kid is 28 and because hes a boxer cannot have alife.and as far as u not caring u still have to bring up his trainer..you have no clue and u are no better than all the other assholes who do what u do --live life by rumors..
??? I brought up his trainer because Pavlik said "I can't see" and his trainer told him to shut up. He also told him before round 12 to "let your ****ing hands go" even though he was getting starched and could not see out of his right eye. How is that a rumor? What else can I conclude other than that his trainer cared more about the outcome of the fight than his fighter? I actually feel bad for Pavlik; I'm not trying to hate.
again u have no idea what was going on in that corner and u heard only what u heard.. jack did not tell him to shut up and as far as letting his hands go jack meant that kelly did not let his hands go like he usually did just t o let them go..jack thinks of kelly like a son and in no way would he do or tell him anything that kelly wouldnt want to hear. there were alot of other things said that those who were not close enough did not hear.
He was saying he couldn't see and Leow didn't want the doctor hearing it. Talk about your trainer looking out you.........sends you out to get hit when blind.
