Thoughts. Just because alot of people thought he was a very talented fighter who got wrecked by Wladimir too early in that 2005 war, while others think he actually learned to box and produced some classy displays against: Mccline, Toney, Maskaev etc. Peter has always been a bit of a mystery, worked with so many trainers, had such highs and lows. Sometimes looks inept, but at others looked seriously dangerous. Any thoughts? What was his best night in the ring
Toney II. It was an impressive win against a top 5 heavyweight who previously looked to have his number; it turned heads at the time with observed improvements in Peter's technique and strategy, regardless of what the haters want to say in restrospect. It wasn't pretty, but walking through Oleg's bombs to club him silly was good fun. The bombs Peter stumbled his way through put Rahman to sleep twice.
Either the Maskaev fight fight or the Williams KO, either way the dude really sucked and was/is a waste of space.
IMO, Toney\Peter II...Peter showed some skill on how he was able to outbox Toney in that fight.atsch And thats crazy given Peter's style. Peter\Maskeav Peter\ Williams Peter\Long...Brutal KO,
Any fight where it ended with him shouting like a madman at the top of his lungs , "HOO NESH?! HOO NESH???!!!!?!?"
Sam Peter seems to have gotten a very bad rep on this forum. He has only lost to Wladimir Klitschko, Vitali Klitschko and Eddie Chambers... hardly humiliating losses on paper. Looking at his career now, maybe he has been badly managed? I think his management should be on the lookout for some glass jaws to expose
