Blatant intentional headbutting is one of the worst things you can do in boxing. It's up there with throwing an elbow. Comparing it to "holding and hitting" is simply ridiculous. Every great has some grey-area/dirty tactics, EVERY ONE. And yes, getting away with small infractions is completely ok. That's part of boxing, and if you knew anything about boxing and its history, you wouldn't be making your dumbass argument. I can tell one thing about you: You definitely weren't any good at sports, if you played any at all.
So, let's say I'm sparring someone, and they get caught up in the ropes. If I launch a knockout punch in that session, that's justifiable to you? I mean, they know the risks before stepping foot in the ring, so why not hit them when they're not prepared? Is that not a cheap shot? It's legal right?
You're comparing a sparring session to a championship fight? Idiots..... atsch Once again because you're a ****ing moron: Ortiz is not the first man to be KO'd by a punch when he had his guard down in a fight, and/or was looking at the referee. And he won't be the last. Ortiz made a rookie mistake and got knocked out. It's that simple. It was not considered a "cheap shot" or a "sucker punch" in those other instances, why is it considered one now? Because it's Mayweather. That simple.
How is this a "dumbass argument?" Are you justifying it as alright? Are you saying that Mayweather should be allowed to use his illegal tactics which include pushing his opponents head down with his left and hitting with his right, and Holyfield's blatant headbutting, and Margarito's plasterwraps? Those are all good with you? If one thing that's illegal is alright, why not everything?
lol interesting poll. How old is boxsensei? That would be a better poll with options of 12, 14, or 15.
No. I'm comparing the events that happened in a sparring session to events that happened within a championship fight.
Man, you are a ****ing idiot. Just stop following boxing. There is nothing comparable from a sparring session to a championship fight. NOTHING. Not a single ****ing thing. Sparring is "practice." A championship fight is the "real deal." That's like saying because you don't use a hard slide tackle on your teammates in practice, you shouldn't use a hard slide tackle on your opponent in the real game. Go try playing checkers or something, seriously. You obviously have never played sports, and if you did, you sucked.
You don't see the falacies in your logic? Let me ask you this... I'm no psychologist, but you appear to have homosexual feelings towards Mayweather. I mean, apparently he can do no wrong... So do you worship him or do you just wanna suck his dick? You see, that's a falacy. I can play this game too.
Oh damn... I'm talkin to a street thug. You a tough guy huh. You a boxer? A fighter? What's your record? I mean, you bad right?
It's pretty obvious you have never played competitive sports, and if you did, you ****ing sucked dick. Fact is, you don't know what the **** you are talking about. Take your fake ass gangster avatar and hit the road loser.
Nothing I said implies I am a "street thug." To answer your question, yes, I used to box as a kid. I'm a college graduate with a future, did not need to keep boxing son. But at least I can say I've laced them up before, how about your stupid ass? Tough guy? Why, because I point out that you're a fat piece of **** that has obviously never been any good at sports? Your bull**** opinions make that clear as day.
Of course it's not legal. But the severity of it comes nowhere close to a diving headbutt - which is what needs to be considered when trying to determine which deserves more criticism. If you’re a judge looking at two different cases – one involving a mere theft of a liquor bottle and another of a bank robbery – which are you going to give a harsher sentence to? Both are deemed illegal, but are you really going to dish out equal punishment?
That's funny. You know, I used that sparring example because that was me...and I did fire the shot. Fortunately, the lord made me miss. What I got in return is a look of betrayal. I doubt you've ever been in that situation before because like they say, the dog with the loudest bark has got the weakest bite.
the only difference is that floyd knows how to play dirty and ortiz still doesn't. if he did, he would have made it look not so blatant, just enough to bother floyd.. same as floyd using his elbows, holding, and dipping low. floyd does damage with those too, ortiz was just to greedy with his.
