This thread illustrates that some FMJ supporters are completely unable to admit that there was misconduct by BOTH fighters this weekend. Anybody with objectivity would be disappointed by BOTH of them.

However as evidenced by the poll, its all Ortiz's fault.

Just as when FMJ acts like a douch outside the ring, beating up security guards.

Just as when FMJ lies to the fight fans.

Just as Larry Merchant has an agenda against him, not FMJ acting like a rude petulant child to an 81 year old.

If FMJ pissed on you, you would call it champagne.

In fact your not even sad when such a great talent (who could have been a huge crossover star) loses his mainstream appeal because of his behavior, yet again pushing boxing into the gutter.


To me this proves that this kind of 'justify Floyd whatever he does' fan is not worth reading at all as he or she is either immature or emotionally stunted. I will I could simply hit a button and ignore all of them as they are useless.

We all know FMJ was looking great, would have won, smooth as silk etc. Ortiz was at fault, definately, but FMJ ended it with a cheapshot (albeit legal).

 

I agree Ortiz actions were disgraceful, and he knew this that's why you didn't hear much complaining from him after the fight ( and the fact he got a serious payday out of it ).

Floyd returned the favor, in a dirty manner but still legal, and ended the fight. Floyd was ready to make Ortiz pay, so as soon as he heard "let's go" from Joe Cortez that's what he was going to do. I really can't blame him, two wrongs don't make a right but that's why there needs to be a highly aware Ref in these fights.

Cortez's lack of taking control of the fight and that situation was disgraceful as well, if he would of done his job right, Floyd might of got his KO in a spectacular manner with no contraversy.

 

That's why Cortez should of taken more control of the situation. But he chooses to turn his head when the possibility of another foul could occur because of Floyd being pissed.
