What was the deal with Greg Page?

Harsh Critic there. I can only imagine how poor of a scouting report you will give on today's heavyweights if you think that low of Greg Page. I think Page looked very good. Really the complete package.

Who in your opinion looks good on film for heavyweight contenders throughout history?

When Alexander Ustinov is classed as a respectable prospect I think we can safely say things have gone to the dogs.

It gets even worse when you see average modern contenders getting picked over ATG Heavies in fantasy match-ups on the basis that they have a 20lb fat advantage.

 

I was watching Holyfield/Dokes earlier actually; what a war that was. Like a mini-Holyfield/Bowe I. Dokes had a lot of liabilities though.

I agree. I dont see what all the fuss is about either.

I rate Page and Dokes as my favourite 80s heavies.

Interesting how comfortable Page looked when he switched to southpaw against Evangalista, so much so it was not very noticable

 

instead, have some peanut butter captain crunch cereal. it's good for you and its what Greg would eat before training

 

i for one was never impressed. not impressed with his right hand and even here looks like he's carrying too much weight. My cousin used to swear about his talent but I could never see it. I was glad to see Berbick expose him simply by out toughing him. I think Greg was lucky he didnt run into Holmes or Cooney. He would have been pummeled
