After the scond round, where Cintron had done some good things....He says "now kermit, those were close rounds, your doing good, but i'm not a judge, they could go to him"....I was like WTF? Nice encouragement for your fighter:-(...

He should have gave cintron some advice, but damn, he was kinda a downer for kermit....When he really didn't have to be at that point in the fight

    It's hardly unique.
With the magic of television, I've heard lots of trainers use that tactic to try & get some hunger out of their fighter.

I guess it is all subjective to the viewer, and I see your point....Kermit coming in as a underdog, and doing well after the first 2 rounds, I was just suprised shields seemed so down....that early...

True, it's usually much later in the fight before that kind of talk gets broken out. Maybe the 7th - 9th... unless it's McGirt who's already well into the "I'm gonna stop this fight!"

What he supposed to do? "Ok baby, you're doin' great baby, your're the champ"?

Cintron should be aggressive and this kind of talk by Shields was good
