Back in the 80's there was a LMW named Mike McCallum with a deadly hook. I used to study his form, trying to make my weak-assed hook better. I can't remember who, but one of s opponents went to sleep for about a week after one of those shots.
There have been so many greatest hooks in boxing sport but I don't know which one was the greatest. Two or them that were always in my mind Marciano KO Walcott and Pac KO Hatton.
Just wanted to shout out to X-Rated Kendall Holt....seen him annihilate a few dudes with his hook... Scariest (looking) hooks I seen in my days was Smokin' Joe Frazier's ....several different times And of course "Captain Hook" Jones Jr was ridiculous out there....esp when in lighting fast triple hookks..lol
Vlad vs Shufford in Vegas, his left hook traveled about an inch! The shortest left hook I have ever seen, I remember when he fought Ray Austin, never used his right hand at all, landed 5 quick left hooks in a row for the knockout!
Surprised nobody has mentioned Bob Foster vs Tiger or Mike Quarry. Both are right up there. And are these guys trolling with the Marciano thing? Every first year boxing student knows he knocked out Walcott with a right cross
No no no. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/clay-vs-cooper-1963-the-between-rds-contraversy.172483/ The glove tear bought 10 seconds at best. It’s the smelling salts that were illegal to use in Britain at the time!
I've watched that so many times. Making it more devastating was the crowd's response. About 20 second before the ko- you can hear the Hatton marching band playing?! Crowd starts singing their Hatton song Heey! Hey!! Then Pac drops him and the crowd went from HEYy!! to Ohhaa...awww !!! I laugh every time I hear it. This content is protected
