not necessarily number of consecutive KOs, more along the lines of KOing consecutive top guys, or consecutive big time fights ending in KO

Fitzsimmons between the Jeffries fights is pretty insane. Only Ruhlin took him past the 2nd round, and the fights with Dunkhorst, Sharkey and Ruhlin were scheduled for 25 rounds.

Perhaps Terry McGovern, with wins over:
    Pedlar Palmer
    Harry Forbes
    George Dixon
    Eddie Santry
    Oscar Gardner

In a KO streak lasting 19 fights.

The records of Archie Moore or Jock McAvoy would yield answers to this.

    Marvin Hagler ....12 title defenses ...11 knockouts....and he wasn’t really a “ puncher”

There was an amateur boxer from South Africa who lost his debut and went on a seventy odd KO streak and turned pro.

Seem to remember Nigel Benn having a good run of KOs in his early days.

Wilfredo Gomez had quite a run of KOs So did Carlos Zarate. I agree with the earlier post naming Hagler. He fought at a time when the middleweight division was full of "tough guys." At the time, I really thought he'd have his hands full with the aggressive tactics of Scypion, Sibson, and Hamsho, but Hagler walked through all of them with a ton of room to spare.

After his clear loss to Marco Antonio Barrera, people mostly forgot about Naseem Hamed. But he was destroying top quality opponents one after another in his day. I'm sure there are plenty of others, but those are some guys that came immediately to mind.

Mike Tyson broke the then world record for first round KO`s when he scored his 21st first round KO at some point, Wilder went on to break that record.

And Duran had the exact same at lightweight - 12 defenses and 11 KOs. His first 10 were all by KO.
