What was the last boxing event to take place at the O2?

i would be genuinely surprised to go to any event like that and pay less than £5 for a beer.

 

i seem to recall that at haye v chisora in the summer it was £4.50 a pint too

 

i never really give it a thought. I pay £1.80 for a Pint of Heiniken in my local bar

 

any idea yet of ticket prices?

those who have been before whats a decent section to be gettin tickets in??

 

Its just occoured to me that I've attended every pro boxing event at the o2.. groves degale being the last. Great nights. Its been too long.. hopefully it will be froch - kessler next.

 

With the beer pricing, I suppose it figures like if you can afford to go to a boxing show you can afford to pay for the beer !

Anyway, pint of beer in London is over £4 in just about any pub. You'd expect about at least £4.50 at an event, even for a 275ml bottle.

 

I booked tickets pretty early for Groves-DeGale. I know that's not a recommended move for ****** cards, but I wanted to get good seats, and was glad I did. I got seats on the first raised tier above the floor seats, right in the centre. Eye-level was just above the ropes. I'm planning to get the same seats for Froch-Kessler. If anything, I would have got seats slightly higher, but definitely don't go for the floor seats unless you're splashing out on ringside.

 

i'd agree with quert on this one, at degale v groves i was front row of the first tier in the corner, were great seats but the corner posts were obstructing the view sometimes.

also, on the floor i saw so many fights (surprisingly none at haye v chisora) including fury & chisora (do you remember that quert) it resulted in chisora standing by me having ripped off his shirt in a show of 'strength' (not a pretty sight) and screaming come on tyson repeatedly. some gobby woman behind me told him to stfu ... his face was epic

ive never fancied floor seats the view always looks murder

the first tier will probably be best then - how are these normally priced?? im guessing about the middle range of pricing??

just tryin to figure out how much this is all gonna cost tickets travel n a room before i even start on the 5 quid pints haha

 

well as i said before i was at the front of the tier and paid £100 for the ticket, would imagine the higher up you go, they'd move to around £75 tickets

 

I was in block 102 a few rows back for Groves - Degale...the perfect seats really plus had access to the vip area underneath. 'think I paid just over £100 a ticket but that was from a hospitality company at the last minute. Will definitely try to get similar this time, the VIP bar is well worth it for ease of getting ale/food.

for those that have never been, the upper tier is not for the faint hearted.

 

I was in block 103. where the stairs are (split), to the right of that and row 1, there are 3 seats which were me and 2 mates. not having to sit next to anyone we didnt know and being right where the boxers came out was an amazing experience

 

never been to the O2 by the look of it though its around the same size as the MEN, would i be right in saying that?

 

By the time the main event finished the trains had stopped running. Fortunately for my mate and me, Mr Thomas gave us a lift home otherwise it would have been a long un on a cab.

 

fortunately my mates dad lives in lewisham so he picked us up a short walk away and we kipped on his sofa's, then after a fry up made the journey back home
