I think Khan-Maidana would qualify. Those big matches generally bring a certain amount of excitement but when you feel like it's one of your guys it's enthralling stuff, especially when a fight like that has all the drama you could ask for it.

Strangely enough I´m a bit hyped about Ward-Abraham and Vitali-Solis. Don´t know why though. :huh

Ward will humiliate Abraham, as has happened in this tourney before.

Yes, he will. Stylewise Abraham has a chance here but he is done. No hunger, no determination or dedication anymore. And powerhappy, just waiting for the one big punch.

And Vitali probably will beat Solis too. And quite easily.

I was excited to see Donaire - Montiel. But as far as really having an emotional investment in it and the outcome, Hopkins - Trinidad.

Im british and i have to say that for Hatton vs Mayweather the excitement and anticipation was something special over here.

Everybody was talking about it....even people who never watch boxing. That was an exciting night

Absolutly:yep Everyone & anyone including the family pets along with old ladies waiting for the bus all knew about the fight & hoped Hatton would win. It was like a ticking bomb. I was fortunate enough too have had an incredible 5 days in Vegas for it, but my son & daughter both went too the pubs to watch it live & they said the atmosphere was like England in a world cup final & that was the same all over the country. Just goes to show what media newspaper coverage on a daily basis can do for the sport.

:good It was like a national event...like a world cup final. Like you say even girls and old ladies wanted to see it.

There was just something in the atmosphere that whole weekend!

Thats probably the most excited about a fight iv been in many years.

I missed the SAB Championships because of work, though I wanted to go. It takes a lot to make me go to Coatbridge though. The last time I was at the Time Capsule I was still wearing velcro-trainers. I might be able to make the finals on the 25th.

Uni amateur fights at Edinburgh were the best. We had some pretty good boxers, considering that they were also students at a demanding university.

The last fight I truly made an effort for was Benn/McClellan, the last major bout I went to.

Myself and few old boxing friends tried to recapture the magic going up to see Williams/AudleyI, but it was simply not the same buzz anymore. It was not just the poor quality of the fight (I have seen worse), it was just we do not seem to care about the sport so much anymore.
