Basically DLH wanted the rematch on his terms and all the advantages, failing to recognise Trinidad held all the cards already having the W over him.

Tito seemingly unhappy at having to accept $10 million while Oscar took home $25+ million for their first fight, was never going to allow Oscar to do that again to him.

I remember the fight was discussed numerous times.

Straight after their fight Team Trinidad and Don King said they would take an immediate rematch only if the roles were reversed in negotiations and Trinidad was garaunteed $20 million.

Then after Tito had blitzed his way into the jr middleweight division, Oscar wanted the fight only at 147 or a 150 catchweight. Trinidad insisted on 154 or no lower than 152 and a 50-50 split.

After Trinidad had fought at 160 and above Oscar then wanted the fight at 154, but Trinidad couldn't get down that low and still inisisted on 50-50.

And lastly when both were right at the end of their careers Oscar entertained the idea of fighting Tito at 160 as he was desperate for an opponent after Mayweather had pulled out of their rematch. Tito's dad said Tito could only get down to 165 and they would do it at that weight for the 50-50 split they'd always insisted on.

The fight could have been made at anytime if DLH agreed on a 50/50 split.......

.......it did'nt happen because DLH did not want the fight.
