What was the reaction to DAZNs first big card?

Don't discount the impact of Okolie; Americans love wrestling. Mixing a wrestling match with a solid boxing card was genius by Hearn....

 

Was it wrestling? I thought the missus had switched back to Strictly Come Dancing.

 

The main event was pretty good though. And we now all know that if he's on the card, you can safely go for a beer run or do chores, without missing actual boxing

 

My God we sent the Okolie fight over there? I'm surprised they didn't retaliate with F16's and cruise missiles...

 

F16s and cruise missiles are unerringly accurate and devastating. That's a mismatch...

 

Didn't he recently stink out the place on another card?
Seems like he is notorious for being in **** fights.

 

Yeah, he hugged Isaac Chamberlain to death too. I said at the weekend he should have been DQ'd. Who gets three points deducted and stays in the fight?

 

Yeah and he headlined a PPV that night. It was so bad.

 

Yeah, it was a decent card and opening night for DAZN. The real test will be when Hearn debuts the US fighters he's signed. Saturday was a Sky card in a frock...

 

Got a buddy stateside who said the picture quality was great. There's going to be live boxing/mma everyweek so he's happy to pay the $10 a month.

 

Most of the people who attended are now held in secure facilities in the hope that one day they can be released back into the community. They say you can hear the screams for miles around.

 

I had trouble watching it on my TV. Tried to use the Xbox1 browser and it will not load. Watched the fight on my laptop and it worked well enough (minor stuttering/buffering) as long as I don't try to use it during peak hours, but no fight parties will be made around a laptop. I give the fight a 9/10, but the app 6.5/10. Not so hot. Whether I keep it beyond the trial period will depend entirely on boxing content vs technical issues and price. Don't watch much MMA and 0 wrestling.​

 

I signed up yesterday and will cancel before the free trial is up. Then I will sign up for another free trial whenever Inoue fights or another big match up comes along.

 

Stream was great here in Canada, Given that DAZN now have the champions League Exclusive and Seria A and La Liga plus I see the world boxings series listed is worth the $150 for 13 months here in Canada. That works out to about 90 in British pounds for the 13 months.
