Hamed V Barrera was pretty bad but I guess Foreman V Ali takes it

    Tszyu Phillips

Derailed Tszyu's chase to be the premiere 140 pound fighter and stopped a certain fight with De La Hoya.

none of those loses even compare to Gerald McClellan at the hands of nigel benn, a blood clot to the brain just now is he reging the ability to walk a little bit with a help from a cane those are what u call true loses , not to one boxers pride or what ever!

let me be the first one to mention taylor vs chavez.

other than that, i think it's a pretty strange thing to ask. how is worst defined? griffith killing paret? or mancini that korean guy? fighters being totally shot after a certain loss? i don't know.. there shouldn't be a contest, i guess.

 ..Obvious candidates that didn't result in death or disability are Davey Moore v Roberto Duran & Jeff Lacy v Joe Calzaghe , neither fighter was the same after such monumental beatings .

Calzaghe-Lacy, Hopkins-Tito, Barrera-Hamed, Tito-Reid, Mayorga-Forrest, Mijares-Arce, Naito-Wonjongkam III in recent times, the losers weren't the same after these fights... I hope not, but I feel Cotto will join them shortly, maybe Hatton.

hahaha alright then if it is in that case im going to say tyson over lewis, that fight pushed tyson to evrything he had left, he new he can never be the same after that fight he couldnt compete with the best of them again n thats what i think it broke him mentally

n the jeff lacy fight with joe is a certain showing of how a fighter can never recover from such a devasting loss

When Max Schmeling ko'd Joe Louis every black neighborhood in the United States was in mourning. That was a bad time for racial predjudece, and Louis was a hero and a glimmer of hope for the blacks. Then, by the time they rematched Louis was a symbol of freedom while Schmeling represented the Nazi's. Then Louis almost killed Schmeling, making the theory of Aryan supremecy a joke.
When Louis lost it was a "worst loss" considering the impact it had on so many oppressed people. When Schmeling lost it was also a "worst loss", because he fell out of favor with Hitler who put Schmeling into the paratroopers , trying to get him killed.
With more at stake than in any other fights in history, both losers in both fights suffered equally "worst losses".
