What was the worst one-sided beating

Mayweather-Gatti was a mismatch that everyone knew was going to happen unlike all the others. Gatti was beaten just as badly by De La Hoya a few years early. I'd say it's between that and Pac-Diaz. Diaz did not win a second of that fight, and unlike any of the others, was legitamitley knocked out at the end. That's beatdowns though. as far as the most one-sided fights i've seen recently, all of these plus Whitaker-Haugen, Whitaker-Lomeli, and Hopkins-Johnson.

 

Hopkins vs Tito was a real one sided beating - but perhaps the thread starter didn't want to remind people. We all know how popular Tito is!

Resto/Collins Jr; Dempsey/Willard and Chavez/Rosario come to mind

 

Pac vs. MAB 1 should also be considered because that was against a HOFer, and not like the choices or options given in this thread where it was a mismatch at the start. Aside from the first round where MAB was given the dubious knockdown, it was a total beatdown.

 

Klitschko vs Williams was a pretty bad beating, but I think you have to be impressed with the balls that Danny showed that night.

 

there are alot from history, Ali-williams, Louis-Schmelling 2, Tyson-Spinks, Chavez-Camacho. Duran-Moore is the very definition of brutal. Everyone thought Duran was done, and the size advantage Moore had was enough, but that was the finest example of too much too soon. on the reverse side, Hearns-Duran must be up there too, as well as Hearns-Cuevas. my all-time best beatdown is one you don't have, J.C Chavez-Greg Haugen. Also might want to add Jones-Pazienza or Jones-Kelly.

 

I say ODH mauled Gatti worse than Mayweather did....But still,I don't think Gatti landed a even a jab on Floyd...If anything,Mayweather should have closed that show quicker.Every shot hit home on Gatti's face.

In my book tho'...Foreman's destruction of Joe Frazier stands out...Given the fact that Smokin' Joe was the champion...it amkes all the more scary how George manhandled him.

Followed,of course,by Duran's anhiliation at the hands of one of my most favourite fighters of all-time...Tommy Hearns.If that's not one-sided...then I don't know what is.

 

Larry Holmes vs. Randall "Tex" Cobb. It was so bad that Howard Cosell retired. It must be near the top of the list.
