Thompson had a gameplan yea. At least from what I could tell.

In the beginning he did what all southpaws do to righties by flickering his jab out to offset Waldo's jab. And it worked for a little while.

Waldo was obviously distraught and panicky. He grabbed alot, didn't really know what to do because he couldn't get his jab established.

Then he did the right thing by throwing the lead right as Thompson would throw his jab. That completely offset the southpaw's advantage and put Thompson in Waldo's shoes. Thompson didn't have an answer for it.

Thompson could have just feinted the jab and thrown a left instead but he's not really that deep with his skills. He's a basic fighter beyond being a southpaw. He was **** without his jab. It is what it is.

thompson had a good game plan in my opinion actually. he used some rough tactics, hit while clinching, use the head and waited for wladimir to fade. but that didn't happen, it was the other way roud, klitschko wore him out. thompson had a better game plan than most of wlad's opponents who usually just stand in front of him.
