What was Wlad offering Haye if Chisora beat him?

After all the rubbish posted on this forum about the haye-Wlad (sorry, Wlad-haye, I know putting his name first was stipulation ;) ) - what was offered in case Wlad lost? (And if contributed a bit of rubbish to it too  )

Jack put in another thread that Chisora will more than likely have at least 1 rematch clause built in to his contract - so what would happen?

HBO and Sky probably wouldn't be too happy with their promotion for a unification fight etc going down the gurgler either.

So, if the one in a million shot came off, what was the offer?

Wlad no longer brings the IBF and WBO to the table, so the fight is purely for Haye's belt.

The champion (the ONLY champion) would now be coming in last, have his name last on all the promotional gear, and all the rest of the nonsense that was required.

Wlad-Haye agreed to 50-50, based on a lot of things.

Now, the negotiations that took place assumed Wlad was the IBF and WBO champ. If he wasn't, do you think Haye and his team would have agreed to a 50-50 fight, in Germany?

    Of course not.

so, I'd be interested to hear what (Chef may know) K2's plan B was, in case Chisora did land the ultimate lucky shot?

Jimmy Thunder could come out of retirement ala Bert Cooper and KO Haye and Chisora in the same night.

Wlad would've been offering Haye one spot advancement on the heavyweight rankings and the option to still make a career payday against a not as threatening as before opponent.

Haye bitched out. It has nothing to do with me hating Haye either. If these negotiations went down like Mayweather / Pacquiao over drug testing and Haye's demanding of random blood tests held up the fight, I would be praising Haye for his stance. But it's not. It is Haye saying that he doesn't want to fight for the title because he is afraid the champion will not be ready in time.

How do you figure that? You don't think the PPV's would suffer in the 8 weeks before the fight because Wlad's just been laid spark out????

    If only my man.

I doubt Chisora would last as long as Crawford Grimsley!!!!

    (thirteen seconds (including the count!!!!))

Wladimir just coming off a loss would still net Haye his biggest payday. You think more people spent there money on SNV or Ruiz than would on Wladimir, at any age or condition?

    Yeah, I do.

the vast majority of british PPV's would be whipped up in a promotional frenzy, based on Haye fighting somebody undefeated for what, 7 years and holding 2 world title belts.

Most of them, particularly the casual fans, would have little to no knowledge of Wlad to be honest.

Building up a fight against a guy like that, is going to sell far more than trying to build up a fight against somebody that's been laid out by a 14-0 chump.

I would know the fight has made little difference to wlad's ability, as would 99% of the people on this board. But people that follow boxing closely make up a pretty small number of actual buyers for PPV's.

Personally, I would feel like that too. Wlad was sparked out by Chisora 8 weeks ago. This fight to work out who's the best in the division is a bit ****ing meaningless now, surely?

Still doesn't take into account the fact Chisora probably has (multiple) rematch clauses in his contract.

If Chisora's first defence had to be a rematch against Wlad - woudl that have been before or after Wlad fought Haye?

It could be worked out really simple. Just like Wlad did with Adamek. If Wlad isn't available in September... then Adamek gets to fight Vitali instead. Sounds like it's a deal that Haye should have gone for too. The difference is that Adamek actually wants to fight a Klitschko.

Haye knows he has not chance to beat a Klitschko. He said he will never fight Vitali, said he wanted to fight Vlad, then he backed out of signing a contract for July 2nd. Haye has already broken two contracts with Klitschkos. Haye needs to take a Valium and sign.

Haye would get to go on top, and wear the Valuev mask. That's usually Wlad's privilege.

do you people not remeber the klitschko contracts.

if somehow chisora pulled of the upset,he would have to rematch wlad straight away.

if he beats wlad twice,he has to face vitali.

i cant see him able to beat wlad twice and vitali once.

all while if this did happen,Haye can only fight vitali while chisora fights wlad, which is still good, but i imagine if wlad got beat twice by chisora he would be retired after it!.

I don't understand how people are overlooking the most pivotal, and simple point here.

Haye has a madatory against Chagaev to fight before June. The only way this can be postponed is by signing to fight a unification fight with Wlad. However, if Wlad signs to Chisora then a unification fight cannot possibly be signed as Wlad cannot guarantee he will have the belts after the Chisora. Therefore Haye must fight Chag or lose his belt.
