When both have one punch KO power, how do you even tell? Wlad's hardest punch was whatever he could land in anger.
Straight right hand, but that left hook was out of this world too. And he kept his power for the full 12 rounds.
Left hook, for me. His championship years were limiting that punch in favour of 1's and 2's with less risk but it was probably always the single hardest thing he could land, imo. He was gunshot blast noise hitting Pulev with it in a way that, to me, edges out even the straight right. It's telling to me, I feel the less he respected a guy or more he wanted that knockout, the more likely he started unleashing the left hook. He really liked the look-to-the-belly-left-hook-to-the-head move, like Malik Scott talked about, I think. My feeling is he knew he could put the most behind that with the least reservation.
He probably had the hardest jab of all time. I don't remember him putting anyone to sleep quite like he did to Austin with the left hook though.
It's harder to KO someone with a jab. But a good example of what he could do with that are both Brewster fights.
And despite all the face-first plodding b levellers he fought , none of them were even dropped , let alone knocked out by his jab. Even Pinky Thomas managed to score a knockout from the jab.
Wlad’s jab was so potent that certain supposed boxing fans denigrate his opposition for their limited performances against him rather than understanding why they performed so much worse than in their previous fights.
Wlad was a serial clincher because his first line of defence - the jab- failed him repeatedly. Against b- levellers no less. I present facts , you present opinions.
What most impresses me about Wlad is that his arm punches had such disastrous results. He could really punch the **** out of guys without pivoting and such, it was quite the talent. He wasn't half as "good" as an arm puncher as his brother was but holy **** he could land those punches with some power.
@dinovelvet @themaster458 i'm doing my best here, but that's more posts deleted, it's no good this. I say it twice a year and twice a year I'm ignored, but can't you put each other on ignore. What do you get out of talking to one another if you hate each other this much? I don't want to ban either of you but it'll come.
He told a guy it's best to ignore me the other day. He should take his own advice because he always quotes me , I don't quote him.
Only partly relevant to this thread but I wonder how many KD's Wlad scored in his career. I can't be bothered to go through them all right now but the number must be close to 100.
