What was worse? The headbutts or the cheap shot combo?

Ortiz was never 'on-guard' after the headbutt sequence anyway. But I'm not even arguing about Mayweather being right or wrong for what he did. It was definitely a premeditated cheap shot. My point is that it was in no way equal to what the psycho-kid did before that, because it was completely illegal, noone provoked him and Mayweather was definitely not prepared for a headbutt.

What I don't understand is how some of these Floyd Haters are mad at for Floyd when Ortiz ILLEGALLY did the same thing. After the foul he took a cheap shot at Mayweather while he was complaining to Cortez.

The result has absolutely nothing to do with what I am asking.

If Ortiz had beat the count all this would never be an issue. In fact, it's not an issue anyway. If Ortiz' headbutt had KO'd Mayweather, it wouldn't have made Ortiz' action worse. It was extremely bad, totally wrong and completely rule-breaking no matter WHAT it did to Mayweather.

Ask yourself which you would rather be the recipient of... a headbutt like the weakass one Ortz threw or getting cold clocked, and unloaded on by Mayweather?

Not prepared for a head butt? they were in the middle of an exchange at that point you should be prepared for anything.

Hitting a man when his guard is down(even in the streets) is considered a ***** move!

When the ref waving you in and say's "Let's go!", shouldn't you 'be prepared for anything' also?

Don't hit a man when he's down... you ever heard of that saying? Or maybe you prefer play possum and knock a ****er out right?

Ortiz would've been knocked out with style pretty soon. Now Floyd gave him an opportunity to quit. again. with a smile and possible rematch.. :)

Both sucked donkeys balls to tell you the truth. It was a ****ing atrocious head butt too. I'd kick my sons arse for throwing such a bad, blatant one. More subtlety and more power was required.

As for the cheap shot. Seriously, is that how you want to win a fight?

Christ on a bike knows why Ortiz didn't do more than just look at the ref after the first one though.

I never said it wasn't a cheap shot, ***** move, whatever you wanna call it.

And of course fighters are prepared for anything within the rules in the ring. How the hell was Floyd (or anyone in his place) supposed to guess that the psycho-kid would jump in the air and try to break his jaw with his head? I guess fighters should carry a gun in case their opponent pulls one or something? I don't follow. Even if he did somehow guess that his opponent was going to use his head instead of his fists, what does that mean or prove?
