What was worse? The headbutts or the cheap shot combo?

The fight wasn't a matter of life or death idiot.

I don't defend Ortiz's bull**** but I was pissed that the fight itself was ruined because Floyd decided to throw those cheapshots. Ortiz's headbutts didn't end the fight but Floyd's suckerpunches did.

Very true, but I didn't ask which action was more disappointing for the fans.

I asked which behaviour was worse in terms of boxing conduct and conduct in general. If you try to hurt someone like that (headbutt) out nowhere, you can't blame the recipient's reaction/retaliation for something YOU initiated.

You see, this guy just doesn't listen. That ref clearly said "break" intervened, and then said "step back". Yet Victor uncorks an uppercut as the ref is breaking them up. Now look at how Vic's opponent acts and look how Victor acts after the Mayweather fight.

Whether or not Ortiz was prepared is not the issue, I'm not even trying to justify his stupidity. The point remains his guard was down, Floyd knew it and acted cowardly.

And it's not like he doesn't have a history of this(in and outside the ring)!

**** off mother****er I never insulted your ass.

I wanted to show him that the result doesn't always define the action itself.

Mayweather would have never thrown the sucker punches if Ortiz hadn't headbutted him repeatedly earlier. And the sucker punches wouldn't have landed if Ortiz was focusing on the fight instead of how to kiss Floyd's ass for his own stupidity.

Come on, Reg. It's obvious dude was running over to let Victor give a 'Green Mile' hug that would have made the blatant foul go away.

It's obvious you don't want to want to think about Floyd's actions as being cheap. Just talk about Ortiz's headbutt and that he didn't have his hands up so he deserved to be cold cocked, knocked the **** out, tear his head off. You realize the guy could have suffered serious injury like that right? The degree of severity is not the same.

Btw, I asked earlier which which you would have rather faced, a headbutt like Ortiz's or to get knock the **** out like you didn't mean **** to anyone?

You're trying too hard to justify FLoyd's behavior. What's worse is that you
probably very well know that he has a history of this.:-(

    This is all correct.

My point is that what Ortiz did was worse because:

    1. It was 100% illegal.

    2. It was unprovoked, came completely out of nowhere and for no apparent reason.

    3. Initiated all the **** that followed, including the controversial and premature ending.

I guess I've used to seeing headbutts.. But KO'ing a guy like that just doesn't fly, in or out of the ring. Feels like common sense to me..

He's talking about the rules, and preparedness. He didn't offer his thoughts on whether it was a ***** move or not.

Those two things are different you know? If he had his hands up and Floyd still suckerpunched, it would still be a ***** move, yes or no?
