Wrong opponent, he needed to box with some American and fix the score. But to avoid Ruiz, this one is too dangerous.
In my opinion it was the old case of "the bully being bullied" He couldn't deal with Fury pressuring him, Fury showed zero fear and marched forward, Wilder didn't have a clue what to do going backwards. There was nothing "wrong" with Wilder, he was ill, he wasn't tired because of a costume, Breland didn't deny him a victory, he was just beaten up.
“Careful” matchmaking. It was bound to catch up with him eventually. Same will happen to Tank Davis at LW. You can only fight cans for so long. His fans aren’t the smartest but even they will catch on eventually. Wilder is a prime example. He’s going to get another beating in the rematch, regroup, probably hire a new trainer, KO a coupe cans in his next couple fights. His fans will love it until he faces a legit opponent again and gets exposed. He will claim injury and retire, slither away into obscurity. The end.
It's an interesting mystery. Let's try to solve it! Well, we know now that the eardrum was okay. It wasn't that. Here's an idea. Fury hit him with some big shots from the beginning. In the first round Fury even staggered him with a power jab. Probably Wilder was suffering from concussive effects early on and that's why his 'legs weren't there'. It just compounded the more he took. He had a glassy eyed look during the fight which is telling. But because Wilder is delusional and doesn't believe that Fury is capable of hurting him (after the fight he even claimed he wasn't hurt), that means Wilder's brain needs another reason for the physical decline. That reason became the weight laden ringwalk. The unsteady legs and very early 'gassing' from a normally fit fighter are more likely explained by concussive punches to the brain in my humble opinion. Unfortunately for some, this would suggest Fury might be able to hurt people with his feathers. This will be hard to accept.
Wilder stands and fights until the bitter end while getiting outboxed and beat to a pulp, wants a rematch and still gets ripped to shreds constantly. This is what's wrong with boxing. Quite certainly the worst, most dishonorable fans in sports. Anyone who has a problem with this post is part of the sad ggroup that I'm referring to
Nice try avoiding being pulled up over the glaring omission from your post but you neglected to mention the main reason Wilder is being criticised. Brave in defeat, yes. Willing to step up to the plate again; commendable. But it's the excuse-making most people have issues with, and you didn't mention that. Maybe it just slipped your mind about the heavy suit and supposedly hurt knee. So yes, I had a problem with your post but neither do I fall into the 'sad group' you attempted to identify. His fans haven't helped either because it seems they don't want to focus on the bravery you rightly outlined but instead highlight truly stupid conspiracy theories about Fury's gloves. Now they are a sad group...
Fury made has made a **** load of excuses throughout his career. So has Joshua. Doesn't matter what's said all that matters is what happens in the ring. Yeah you are part of the sad group I'm rwfreferr to that hangs on every word these guys say but don't give them credit for what they actually do jn the ring
He contracted the coronavirus strain that targets your boxing skills and chin developed by Dr. Shaw-Hi. The COYDKSAB-19.
I did give him credit, in my original reply to you and you chose to ignore. That just reaffirms what was already evident; you like to cherry pick details that suit and ignore those that don't. Re excuses: We're not talking about Fury or Joshua, we're talking about Wilder. But I note you have recognised your omission from your original post. Thanks for that. And you are right about Wilder's excuse-making; he's not the first and won't be the last. But that doesn't make it more acceptable. That's what he's getting heat for and the main reason people aren't focussing on his bravery during his complete demolition, which was without doubt commendable.
The real Fury showed up in the second fight, not the inactive drug-ravaged 40% drastic weight gain and loss muscle atrophied weakened cherrypicked shell who hadn't fought anyone with a pulse in 3 years and had spent the entirety of his 2.5 years of inactivity abusing the hell out of his body with industrial amounts of cocaine, alcohol, and junk food and battling mental health problems and despite all this still won the fight in most people's eyes. Fury took it out of the judge's hands in the rematch and it was a very rude awakening for D.
