aw man, just so many great fights in 08 i hope 09 turns out to be the same. it's hard to pick between B-hops-Pavlik, Vasquez-MarquezIII, Margo-Cotto, Pacquiao-MarquezII, Holt-TorresII, Arreola-Walker, and countless others. but after doing my homework and adding the significance and the quality of a fight resulting with a great outcome, i gotta say it was Margarito vs. Cotto. seriously, what a beauty of a fight that was. margo was a throwback that night and the fight could be watched in black in white and one couldn't tell the difference from other classics because it was a modern day classic. i had a heavy heart watching my other 2 favs B-hop and Pavlik, but really was surprised by the outcome. it was sad watching Kelly getting beat, but B-hop's greatness was jaw dropping and left me shocked. us boxing fans are really the ones that make these fights happen. lets have some more for 09
Pavlik/Taylor II; proved the first fight wasn't a fluke. Cotto/Margarito; simply amazing. Adamek/Cunningham. requires no explaination.
khan vs prescott (because i was the only person in are gym who predicted it) b-hop vs pavlik (because i was the only person in are gym who predicted it) cotto vs margarito because it was a great fight or mtagwa vs villa for the same reason
