4th fight was obviously the best. But the 1st fight was amazing. Pacquiao was great in round 1, Marquez was amazing all 12 rounds.
II Imo had the best combo of boxing technique and youth, vi was probably the most fun but it was two older fighters past their best shooting it out
Pac was very limited . as a boxer in the first fight, pretty much had nothing besides freak athleticism and the fabled straight left hand at that point, he boxed technically much better with Marquez in all the later fights
In the grand scheme of how **** fights can be nowadays,IV wins hands doon.Brutal and every punch thrown to create hurt on the opponent and is truly a tear up that could have gone either way.I voted for I because the way the fight went after the 1st round was astounding and set this series up for what it has become, legendary.Roll on V,VI and VII.
As a die hard JMM fan, i was relieved as hell when he hit him with that punch. Manny was taking over, and hitting Juan with brutal shots[/quote] :deal
is that cause Marquez recovered from a near impossible situation to beat the utter **** out of the pacman?? :hey
I think it's hard to split the 2nd and 4th fights. The 3rd was too one-sided to really be a great fight.
II is still my favorite, some great boxing and combinations by both fighters, fight was a very violent technical match, i loved it. IV has the best ending tho! I would rank them like this: II IV I III All 4 are classics tho! :good
It was a boxing masterclass by JMM, loved it. Still ranks 4th overall, the rivalry is THAT good. Personally I love the 1st the most, the raw excitement, the drama and the great comeback my Marquez with no sour taste regarding the outcome. 2nd was probably the most action packed but it ended up on a robbery, the 4th was epic, but rather in moments than consistently. And they were a bit aged to be honest.
I wanted manny to win even though i had money on JMM, so when the knockout came i was so happy about the 500 i won but pissed i just saw someone who is one of my favorites go down, but all the respect to JMM, he deserved it!, but the 4th is my fav, it was so action packed. each fighter scoring a knockdown and manny looking better then I've seen in a while. Then that epic one shot from marquez!
They're all really good. III was by far the most technical with the most feints and positioning, IV was the most brutal/go for broke (I'll have to check the first again to make sure) that these two can make such different displays of boxing in the span of 1 year just shows how great they are.
