This undoubtedly has elements of truth, but I think there is no doubt that the buzzsaw-like Manny from years earlier would have been far more of a dangerous handful than he was. He was faster, his feet were faster, he was far more swarming. He would have connected on Floyd a lot more and really put it on him. I remember watching the Cotto fight thinking "how the hell is Floyd gonna deal with this for a full 12 rounds". He probably could and maybe would have done.Floyd would have been the slight favourite prime for prime, but he would have struggled. The Manny he fought just didn't have enough of that left. But I agree that Floyd is so good he can find ways to dictate and close things down.

Honesty the fight went how I alway felt it was going to play out.. A lot of casuals who attended my fight party was disappointed but I forewarned them that it wasn’t gonna be the fireworks they expected.. Mayweather simply wasn’t that fighter at 147 & 154.. To lure him into a firefight of sorts his opponent needed to be bigger than him and had an awkward almost dirty style and Pacquiao didn’t possess any of those in 2015..

I always predicted that Mayweather would bore the fight by slowing the pace in 2010 and for sure in 2015.. I honestly felt that Mayweather and Bob Arum wasn’t gonna make this fight until they milked enough Million + PPV fights against other opponents during that time.. In 2015 they were no longer going to sell millions of PPVs without each other and cashed in on fans desperation.. Mayweather made almost $300 million Pacquiao almost $200 million and the pocket watchers and casuals were left short of $100.

Floyd won 10-2. Pac disappointed the fans cause he did not press and make a fight of it. Lots of posing, and stalking. Floyd gave him a boxing lesson.

I'm glad I didn't pay 100 dollars for that! Fight of the century!? It wasn't even fight of the month!

The biggest thing I remember was that it seemed like Pac wasn't taking the fight seriously. I remember him taking selfies during the ring walk and then both of them touching gloves at the beginning of EVERY ROUND. To me, it seemed like they were rubbing it in our faces that their only intention was to get out of there unharmed and with tons of money. Huge let down to the fans after such a long wait.

Remember Manny and Freddie taking pictures with the Burger King dude. I knew then the fight was a farce.... Then all the smiling Manny was doing after the rounds would end.... He was just happy to collect a payday.....Then the excuse after the fight....My shoulder blah blah blah.... lost a lot of respect for Manny that night. They let the fight marinate and made good money but blew any chance for a rematch because of the way the whole thing unfolded. A bit like GGG / Canelo. ( does anyone even care about the trilogy now? ) Haven't watched the fight since, but iirc Manny maybe won 3 or maybe 4 rounds if any at all. Was far less competitive than I expected and very anticlimactic. I remember the 100 ppv fee, that was a good one too. So many great things about that night I'm surprised my subconscious hasn't completely wiped it from my mind.

The lack of action was terrible considering how hyped the contest was

Floyd ran like a ***** even his own father called him a coward. Even though he was juiced to the gills, IV gate proved this, & Pac was sabotaged when they denied him his LEGAL Toradol Froid BARELY scraped a win. Remember the Vegas judges had Fluid Floyd 4 points up before the opening bell

That it unfolded the way I always thought it would. Manny's offense being stunted because Floyd is always moving and he's always moving his feet. All the feinting and footwork was always going to trouble Manny, along with Floyd's shoulder roll defense.

When Floyd tagged manny in the first round the fight was done. Think I gave Floyd 10 rounds to manny’s 2. Floyd simply neutralized Pac-Man.

both great fighters but manny was just beaten by the better caliber fighter.
