Parker was on the back foot the entire fight so it would be hard for me to give him rounds when he's running and not hitting too. Made the fight a terrible thing to watch because of it. Had he stuck it out and traded, he probably would have been KOed but he also would have had a chance to win. 10-2 AJ with a possibility of 12-0 because of the lack of aggression
Initially 7-5 Joshua, upon a second viewing I thought while most rounds were fairly close; Joshua was edging the majority of them and had it considerably wider.
I got really bored so started reading the paper. So don't have a final score. It really was a dull fest.
The Referee won it for me; he controlled the distance and range they fought at brilliantly--- dictated the amount of long and middle range, and ergo crucially... in-fighting action,.... superbly in my opinion. A dominant UD for ref.
That gormless referee stopped Parker from fighting & getting inside. He seemed to think it was wrong to let Parker get ti AJ Even so AJ only just scaped aq 115-113 Lets see em fight again in Kiwi land
Definitely an AJ fight, Parker won maybe 3/4 rounds tops BUT there were plenty of competitive rounds. A good, clear victory but not a lazy sparring session like AJ fans and to a degree AJ himself have tried to convince themselves.
I scored it a Draw. Parker won 5 of the first 6, Joshua won 5 of the last 6. I don't need to apologize for it, it is what I saw.
9-3 to the Robot is how I scored it, although I reckon 8-4 is a better score. The Kiwi judge who scored it 11-1 should have his citizenship revoked.
