No, he was hurt and punished for the last 40 seconds of the session, but it wasn't protracted enough to warrant a 10-8. My score after 9 was 86-84 for Ortiz. The Wilder rounds were 5, 6 and 9.
Ortiz by 2 going into last round, I think. No 10-8 round for Ortiz, for UK viewers I suspect if the commentary didn't mention it then no one would really be considering it. On another note, I too think too many rounds are given as a draw. It feels a little lazy to me.
theres a number between the ( ) following each round, it represent how close the round was, example: (1):meaning a close round, (2) meaning more wider (3) clear round ETC... wilder vs ortiz rd1:9-10 (3) rd2:9-10 (1) rd3:9-10 (1) rd4:9-10 (3) rd5:10-8 (4) rd6:10-9 (1) rd7:9-10 (9) wilder get hurt rd8:9-10 (7) rd9:10-9 (1) rd10:KO (12) great fight 84-86 -18 -6
Wow, so you would have robbed Wilder. The first four rounds were very close, anything from 4 to 0 Ortiz to 2 2 would have been fair. The rest were clear: 5 Wilder (10/8) 6 Wilder, 7 Ortiz 10/8, 8 Ortiz, 9 Wilder. Those rounds were fairly easy to score. You clearly have an agenda to make it a wipeout.
Ortiz won the first four. Wilder was on his bike doing a Dave Haye impersonation and did next to nowt in those rounds, the judges were not watching the same fight as me.
Eyeballing, fight was easy to score only wjen difficult do i have to really take into context configuring the blows and assessing Thx
I had it a lot closer until doing the actual punch counts . Ortiz won 7 rounds, I did also say don't be surprised if Ortiz wins the first 7 rounds before losing, this was before I changed my pick. I believe I gave Wilder round 5/6. I'd really like to see this rematch down the road. I think it will be closer to what I posted the second time.. Would have been an uproar had it gone to the cards which was never going to Ortiz .
