Mine was Charles v Harold Johnson. They looked like mirrors of themselves in there and it could have gone the other way without any complaint. What’s your fight?

    I have a few.
    Leonard/Hagler
    Trinidad/De La Hoya
    Benitez/Palomino
    Camacho/Rosario
    Rosario/Ramirez I
    Ali/Shavers

Up until the ko, Sanchez/Gomez was tough to score, I had Sanchez by 2 or 3 because of the knockdown only.

I havent seen Ali/Jimmy Young or Norton/Holmes yet.

Benitez-Palomino is an interesting pick. You don’t see it come up often and I haven’t rewatched it for years, but remember thinking it was razor-close — enough to go either way — when i first saw it.

Leonard Hagler was tough. I’d prob add Delahoya v Mosley as well both those fights were tough same w Canelo v GGG

I didn’t think Holmes v Norton was difficult to score. Competitive yes but no doubt Holmes won

    Ali-Norton III

Ali had clearly regressed considerably by that point, and the rounds were very difficult to score, and the majority of rounds could've been either man's depending on your perspective. Had it going down to the 15th which Norton gave away by his own admission (though he insists he never actually needed the 15th in the first place and was robbed regardless).

Gavilan-Basilio - perhaps the most razor thin 15-rounder I've ever seen.

Patterson-Ellis - many people regard this as an outright robbery plain & simple, but I've always thought it was much more indecisive & difficult to score. Patterson did land the cleaner, harder punches throughout, but he fought in spurts that I felt were often too few & far between, while Ellis was typically busier.

Toney-Griffin 2 - I've watched this fight a couple times many years apart, & come away w/ wildly contrasting opinions each time.

Tiger-Griffith 1 - Griffith was very busy w/ his jab, but many of them were seemingly picked off by Tiger's gloves, while Tiger pressed the fight & scored sporadically to the body.

GGG-Canelo 2 is one of the harder ones for me.

Larry Holmes vs Tim Whiterspoon - I always edge it to Larry, but I can see how someone could score it for Terrible Tim.

For me it was Antonio Cervantes v Wilfred Benitez. I felt in this fight there was such a fine line between one's preference between speedy light taps and punches with more oomph. I had to stay riveted on this contest for 15 rounds lest any change in momentum varied. In the end I had Benitez the winner 145-143. But I felt it was a toughie.

Jorge Paez and Troy Dorsey in their two-fight series was, to my memory, a real test of judging.

Troy threw punches basically non-stop but many of them were love taps. Not a lot on them and no damage for the most part, but relentless.

Paez fought in spurts — Troy would tap away for 30 seconds and then Paez would rip six or eight hard shots, land most of them … rinse, repeat.

So it came down to many rounds where it was do you like Dorsey’s volume or Paez’s higher impact?

Along the lines of "what style do you prefer," one might also suggest Toney-Tiberi. I know this one is generally spoken of as a horrible injustice, and truth be known, I had Tiberi winning as well, but the fact remains that the more telling shots throughout were scored by Toney.

Who deserved to win? Tiberi, hands down. He worked harder and gave more. Who scored better in the ring and collected more points? I still say Tiberi but it's not the slam-dunk gimme many make it out to be. It was a close fight.
