Whenever Khan gets KTFO he comes back strong, especially in big fights where he is supposed to get KTFO. So all you Lucas fans out there need to be careful what you wish for cause it may turn out to be another Maidana case. Remember how Khan was supposed to die against Maidana? Yeah, be very careful. Let this sleeping giant sleep. Khan is a lot better than we give him credit for.
He surprised me when he beat Maidana (and let's not forget, almost put him away in the first round) but Khan seems to have regressed since the Kotelnik and Maidana hayday and I seriously would not put him in with Matthysse any time soon. Let Matthysse loose on Danny Garcia please
"Comes back strong" Idk about all that. When the highlight of your career is surviving the last 3 rounds while out on your feet against Marcos Maidana you need to re evaluate if your a world class fighter.
I would blame that on them matching him against non punching super feathers, stroking his ego, then suddenly sticking him in with a 6 foot columbian banger and saying "don't worry, you can beat this guy" Khan has talent to burn, but a smart man he is not
I'd say having Maidana rolling around on the floor in agony like a worm in bleach in the first round would be a bigger highlight than that. The highlight of his career? Schooling Kotelnik and taking his title belt
Hey it was a great body shot...Khan is a talented fighter. But if you want to say your the best, and you want Floyd Mayweather, saying "I schooled Kotelnik" doesnt really hold much weight.
All im saying if Khan is weight drained at 140 and the move to 147 suits his body..... Khan on his day can beat any of these guys at 140... Maidana was a monster back then and people said Khan will never face him... Well guess what Khan took his best shots and smiled at him...
He comes back strong because they put him in with **** opposition. Poor argument you got there. And Maidana was a classic puncher vs. boxer matchup. Matthysse would be a classic boxer who can punch vs. boxer who can't punch or take punches matchup. Not even close to the same thing.
uh...schooling Kotelnik does hold a lot of weight, and I'm not a big Khan fan trust me, I've criticised this guy over the years more than anybody else on this forum, but schooling Kotelnik was very, VERY impressive
Lol the guy fails every time he is on the big stage....why do we keep making excuses for him? If a guy like Danny Garcia loses a fight its all over for him...Khan loses a fight and its ok he just needs to "work on his defense, still one of the best" I dont understand it honestly.
