Well we all saw what happened with Morales at the weigh in.....I was interested to hear him say that he didn't feel he could make the 140 weight in any case and thats why he didn't bother to. So he decided to pay the fine and lose the title.

So it got me thinking exactly where does Morales go from here? (assuming he wins) Catch weight fights in the mid 140's or does he go up to 147?

Also I have noticed since coming back his body has looked very very soft with no definition whilst in his younger days he was chiseled does anyone know why that is as he isn't THAT old is he?

Morales didn't live a "clean life". He even needed to get some professional help to get off all that alcohol, it was destroying his family, that's how bad it was.

I'd like to see him retire. I can't see him fighting at a level that would help his legacy. It's like he can't find anything else that makes him happy and productive, so he's stuck in boxing well beyond his best years.

But you do realise that won't be happening right? (I'd like the same thing although I was impressed by the Maidana display) So back to my question what weight do you think he will be campaigning at in the near future....

I forsee him fight AT LEAST 3 more times and maybe more judging by what Golden Boy said....

    147.

Senchenko or Malignaggi for the WBA is something I see happening next.

    Tijuana vs Juan

battle of the old flabby Mexicans. Do it at 147 or an agreed to catchweight beyond 140. Juan had success the last time he was there. Tijuana-Juan is the missing link that's needed to complete the Four Destroyers war

Yea I think you could be right.....

Hmmmm interesting I just dont see that fight happening Juan seems intent on making Morales wait like Morales did to him earlier in his career!

I would like to see it but I think Juan takes it personally.

I think that Mackie Shilstone character would be good for Morales at this point, he`s had great success helping older legends like Hopkins move up in weight very well, I heard he likes to be paid very well tho, that could be a problem.

Yeah he really did good work with Hopkins.....I cant see Morales putting in that kind of commitment at this stage....even if the Pacquiao fight was on offer I dont see him going that route.

He looked sooo soft. I'd have thought all the trainer would make him more toned!

Maybe he didn't train hard enough or needs a dietitian or new personnel trainer?

He'll prob get a title shot at 147 if he wants what with his name etc... Hopefully he only gets one when/if he actually deserves it!

To be honest he looked terrible.....I wonder what he performs like......I think its time for him to hang them up but he is picking up very good money it would seem, so he may be around for a while yet!

Thats what I was thinking. He's at his best at 135 which is a distant memory. But he can still beat some of the hypejobs and gatekeepers or can become a gatekeeper himself.
Either way, there's still big $$ to be made off his name, and at his age, some higher profile losses aint necessarily going to ruin his legacy.

Let him be as fat as he wants.

Please quit Erik. You've done so much already.
