What weight do you guys think that a fight between these two p4p #1's realistically should take place at (if Floyd should come out of retirement) to minimize any extra advantage to either fighter, taking into account the current circumstances of both fighters?

The fight will be for true #1 p4p spot so they should fight at their most comfortable weight which is ~145-147lb for Floyd (assuming he wasn't touching lobsters too much lately) and 140-142lb for PAC.

I would say 140. But if they fight it will be at 147.

Mannys most natural and good weight IMO is now 140. Floyd is a 147 fighter and i dont think he would go down to 140. I think it should be a catchweight of something like 144. Pac would come in same as De La Hoya at 142 and Floyd would weigh in at 144, making it a very even fight.

i think it will be a more even fight the lower the weight. 140lbs for me.

Floyd is going to win every round in my opinion

If Floyd can make 140 easily then it should be there. But if it's going to diminish him at all getting to that weight then 147. I really hope he can get to 140 but I have not idea if that's feasable. Only he knows. Making the fight at 147 would maximise Mannys disadvantage to hopefull Floyd won't just make the fight there for that reason. He needs to know that people will doubt hs greatness more if he beats him at 147 (those that still do).

Floyds natural fighting weight is around 147-150, Pacs similar so I dont see a problem fight beeing made at catch weight of 140-147. Floyd might be slightly weaker tho if he had to come down to 140 unless he'll have a tune up fight around that weight.

The fight shouldn't be happening. Pacquiao is not a challenge for someone like Floyd, it should be the best at 147 that Mayweather should be concerned about. He's a smart business man. He sits in limbo and waits for a lightweight to take advantage of a shot Oscar, and then everybody will buy into the fight. People, Pacquiao would get tossed out in under 10 rounds by any of the top 5 Welterweights, and possibly the whole of the top 10.

Why is this so hard to comprehend? He is still far to small.

He is not too small at 140. At this stage, when he his entering the ring at 140 - 148, he is a fearsome supelight weight. If Floyd fights him at 140 it is an even fight weight wise.

If PFB has a warm up fight then maybe 140. Don't really think its fair for PFB to come out of retirement and fight at a weight he hasn't fought at in 3 years.

147 on the other hand favors Floyd a bit.

So ideally I'd say a catch weight at 144-45

While Floyd hasn't fought at 140 for 3yrs, Pac has never fought at 140 all his life. He jumped to 147 and DLH is not actually one of the elites at 147. To be fair, let Floyd and Pac fight at 141. Pac is going up by 6lbs (from 135) while Floyd is going down by 6lbs (from 147).

It doesn't shock me how many people wanna see this fight all of a sudden...thru out this forum it so much hate on Floyd Mayweather.

    He's gonna lose.

    He won't fight anybody.

    He's scared of Margarito.

    He's what's wrong with boxing....

So he says **** it i'll retire they don't love me....but it looks like to me he's missed haha.

He's gonna beat the **** out of Manny it'll be competive for like maybe the first 6 rounds then the two will separate and the world will see that no one is really on Floyd's level and that's just the truth...i really don't believe Manny can execute his game plan better than Floyd but that remains to be seen.

    @147 Pac beat Delahoya...Oscar Delahoya
Looked good...still was fast...still had power....still where the fight should be.
Floyd is not a natural 147 pounder but to me this is the best version of Floyd
the one that fought Judah and Hatton...very dangerous and ****in unbeatable...
Manny lost in lower weight classes and in my eyes a win over Oscar Delahoya coming up from 135 is bigger than any victory he had previous.
