You're right. He isn't stupid, so he isn't going to fight at 140 (when was the last time he was there? 5, 6 years ago?) for a RING title.
Great point. Both stand to make well over $20 million. Even a $1 million per lb. penalty wouldn't be enough to dissuade Floyd from coming in at a weight at which he's comfortable. Pac is the WBO WW champ, pointlessly asking for a catchweight in this situation would just make him look bad.
in case you're not aware, the cotto fight is pacman's first ever catchweight fight. atsch the delahoya fight was fought at the welterweight limit of 147lbs.:deal that goes to show how ignorant you are about the facts..:-( unfreakingbelievable!
147 if he's to defend that welter belt he beat from Cotto. no more Catchweights! he has already proven he can hang with the welters. Money won't honor no Catchweight anyway, so whats the point?
147. I know that Floyd is the bigger guy, and Pac isn't a natural welter, but, I don't see a few pounds really helping him. Honestly, I think it's to Pac's advantage, the heavier Mayweather is.
pac would be too much @140lbs and definitely KTFO floyd....NO MAS!!!! it should be 147lbs, atleast floyd could put up a little fight..........or running if you want to be specific!!!:hey:hey:hey
If Pac wants to consider himself a real WW champ the fight will be at 147, no ways around it. And for the losers who say Floyd will come in "wherever he wants" when has Floyd, other than against DLH @ 154, has Floyd weighed over 147??? seriously
Floyd wouldn't come over 147. It's a WW fight, so that wouldn't be allowed. However, if they make a catchweight of say 145, Floyd won't drain himself to make the catchweight.
