Interesting thread. I'm just under 6' 4", my "prime" MMA weight was 210, but I probably should have bulked up a bit more. I was a trainer, not a competitor and tried to focus on speed (the main guy I was training was 5' 11" / 230lbs -- easy benching 300+ for clean reps). While younger I could have squeezed down to Cruiser weight, now I'd say a 225 to 230 Heavyweight would be plausible. It would be an interesting workout challenge to get into something remotely resembling Boxing Shape!
Im not built for size. I have wide shoulders, but I am very lean. Im about the same proportions as Chad Dawson actually. except Im not black
Im 6,4 and about 18 stone, i am about 30 pounds overweight so im still a heavyweight. I used to box at superheavy in the amauters, and dont think unless i killed myself i could fight at cruiser im very big boned have broad shoulders and am jusy a bulky type of guy. Im built like, sergi lyonkivich in that im not defined but very strong.
well thats ok i'd step in for him. and i would never be so dismissive about someone i had never met...especially over the net.....
You are right, you shouldnt underestimate people especially if you have never meet them, are you american im from the uk and do mma now, i used to box but found the cage more exicting,:bbb
I'm 5'10" and 140 pounds. I once dropped down to 135, but my body was literaly 2% fat and I had to bulk up so i settled on 140
no i'm australian but live in denmark now. i boxed as an amatuer before i started travelling but i've studied muay thai and practiced in the meantime.
