What Welterweights should fight for the vacant IBF title?

There's some good up and coming WW's, but many aren't tested or haven't fought other top contenders. It should be, Beat contenders = fight for title.

In my opinion, fighters like Jones and Brooks should fight one another before even being considered for a vacant belt. Neither has done ANYTHING to earn a shot, other then being the best available fighters.

 

He only gives a **** about the WBC belt.

Mike jones/lujan winner vs bailey with ortiz vs berto 2 being a title eliminator.

 

It almost certain it will be Randall Bailey vs. Mike Jones. Randall Bailey will definitely be involved either way, as he won an eliminator earlier, and unlike the other ABCs, the IBF actually sticks to its rules (even if the rules are messed up). I might be wrong, but I think Jones vs. Lujan is the #1 eliminator, so 99% sure it will be Bailey versus the winner of that fight.

Well a strange possibility would be Alexander and Maidana as they are both high profile fighters but I can see Zavek getting another crack at it against Mike Jones seeming as i believe Brook is going down the WBA route.

He's hardly ducking Brook is he. He's pursuing a fight with Mayweather. Brook is still a bum, 8-10 fights behind Khan.

 

It would be fair Jones vs Bailey and then the new champ meets with Zaveck...

 

Pretty sure Randall Bailey was the mandatory and will remain at least one of the contestants.
