I don't care if punches are slow, of poor technique, and aren't very powerful...if they land, they count. So, I saw Chisora land quite a few such punches, and thought he edged the fight. Usyk, for all his form, really didn't land cleanly much at all.
I gave Chisora the first 3 and that's it, and I consider the 3rd probably just a gift. I really don't see how anyone could give any of the other rounds to Chisora. That said, Chisora did make the whole fight a painful struggle. It wasn't easy for Usyk. Chisora threw large, sloppy hits over and over, and while plenty missed, some did some damage. Usyk dominated on the scorecards, but he wasn't an overwhelming force in the fight. It was not a schooling.
I've never seen a fight in recent years with so divergent scoring. Posters all over the place with their annalysis of the fight.
Usyk struggled with a fat plodding Chisora. Anyone who says he didn't struggle is lying to themselves.
