yes thats it well put, it will be tough but its been done before so we have to wait and see and best of luck to him
I think Dean Powell is footing the blame for this match up. Anyone thought that Khan losing was what Fwank wanted???
The problem for Khan, and it has always been this way, is that he simply does not have a chin. Thats a big problem for a pro boxer, the only way to counter it is to have a solid defence, which he does not have, and even then you will be likely to come short if you are fighting at world level because at some point you are going to have to take it on the chin. Anyway, the result of this fight brings me back to when Khan was looking for a trainer, for me there should only have been one person considered and that person is Mayweather snr.
I disagree. Khan needed someone who would keep his feet on the ground and someone with pedigree, Brian Hughes would have fitted the bill quite nicely.
They bullied Fwank into putting him PPV so early. This smacks of Naseem but about 20 fights too soon.
I think you are all missing one very important factor in your criticism of Amir... Although we know little about prescott, he looked extremely impressive last night and bad chin or not, the punch that did away with khan would have put a lot of the big named fighters on the seat of their pants. Khan's chin is weak but then so are a lot of people's (Klitscho, Haye, Naseem) who have still gone ontgo make something of themselves through tightening up defences. Time will tell but with the correct tutorage Khan could still surprise us all so lets not write the man off yet, Everybody has to lose at some point, it does not mean they have been "found out" and it does not make them a bad fighter.
Are you serious? Why is he always compared to NAZ. two completely different fighters at different weights who were beaten very differently. Naz lost to one of the best fighters in the world at the time and there is no shame in that. he did ok for himself and made some very talented fighters look silly. Amir on the other hand is a young man with limited experience who needs to learn how to avoid getting hit on that chin.
But Amir himself is a real cocky *******(after last night prolly was:yep ),did you see how he entered the ring?He thought he was ****ing Hamed
Try not to confuse confidence with arrogance. even if khan came across as arrogant the levels of arrogance between the 2 are incomporable. Naz was the master of cocky. Khan always seems to be fairly grounded in interviews. Very rarely do we see a successful fighter with a laid back attitude or zero confidence. Sad as I am to say this, I think that even british fans (albeit arm chair fans) compare the two fighters purely because of their ethnicity.
naseem lost to a decent fighter and despite was is pecieved didn't really let himself down that night, was just beat by a better fighter, amir just has no chin,no defence and is a cocky little git. I have to admit i was warming to him after earl, but last night just proved everyone right(including myself),when put in with a decent puncher he would eventually be found out.
He's compared to Naz as he has allowed his family to involve themselves in a sport they know **** all about and ultimately **** up his career. Fairly similar?
Yeah anyway doing that commercial seemed really arrogant with the voice talking **** and all. Voice:''Saturday night 19-0 with 14KOs Breidis Prescott comes to .....against the pride of.....18-0.....Somebody is gonna lose their 0'' And the nthecamera focuses on Khan who turns and says:''It ain't gonna be me''-it was him and it was arrogant but brilliant at the same time:yep
Right so out of all of the qualities involved in the fight game that is the only comparison you can draw. His career is not fooked at all. Many a fighter loses only to go on and succeed. Why does everybody think that anything other than an 0 in a loss column makes a fighter a bad fighter... not the case. I dare say some of Amir's family know a fair bit about the sport having championed him from such an early age.
